I’ve defended and backed him for ages but I don’t think I can do so any longer. He’s played his way into being our third best striker this season behind Vardy and Cannon over the last few weeks.

We haven’t got a manager, we’ve got a ‘plan’. Unfortunately for us that plan is some other guy’s plan and it took the league by surprise at first. But once you’ve played against the plan once, and it’s not being executed by the best players in the world, it’s easier to nullify the second time you play it. If it doesn’t ever change, and there’s not a manager who can deviate from the plan when needs must, then that also helps massively. I used to hate this phrase but we’ve been well and truly ‘found out’.

Winks just edging Hermansen for me. And yet another year of me plucking a women’s player at random due to having no knowledge of who genuinely deserves it…

It’s not really, unless those 40 people are part of an organisation/body that you are expected to engage with by whichever governing body sits above your company. Now granted you might just tick a box and go through the motions (which the club is doing now), but if that group of people become thousands and were like-minded individuals prepared to push for change…. Not so easy to ignore.

Trust membership fee doesn’t go to the club. In reality there are a myriad of fan issues that affect supporters who never even set foot in the stadium that the club could and should be held accountable to. So you can join the Trust and be part of pushing the club for change without giving a single penny to the club. The two things are not co-dependent on each other.

I probably shared some of your views and frustrations about 6 months ago. But ultimately, there’s only one way to change it isn’t there? It became apparent to me that, whilst I felt the Trust had lost some clout with the club, if fan groups didn’t get themselves in a position where they could have a louder say then we’d continue to pay the price (whether that was on tickets, atmosphere, safe-standing or anything else the club has sidelined or ignored fans on). The one thing you miss about “just another supporters club” is that this is the official supporters trust. The club will not want to be seen to be sidelining them and they hold a bit of official weight with that. They just have to have the numbers and the personalities ensuring that’s used to maximum effect. You sound like exactly the type who should be part of that - will you come and join us?

Have you joined? It sounds like you care about exactly the type of issues the Trust should be focusing on in future and that you’d have a lot to offer in helping the Trust have a greater impact.

You can either sit back, criticise, complain about the club and the Foxes Trust. Or you can join and be part of a push for a more effective Trust that represents us all better and holds the club to account. The Foxes Trust can hold weight due to its official supporters trust status. But that weight relies on a good number of us getting involved. It’s time, people.

He’s at his best when the game opens up and becomes a bit more of a basketball match. He’s not a technician but he’s got an engine and he can stretch teams with his running when it gets a bit chaotic.

He made a switch at half time that won the game for us today. I think it was going man-to-man. In the first half Norwich were playing out from the back at will with Daka running inside a triangle of the two center halves and their keeper. He simply couldn’t stop three of them single-handed. Second half we had them pinned in their own half and made quite a brave/risky decision to leave Vestergaard 1 Vs 1 with Sargent because the rest of the team were pushed up man for man on Norwich. That was difference so credit where it’s due for making that switch. A minor gripe from me that if Coady doesn’t get on the pitch with 10 minutes left defending a one goal lead then what’s the point in having him? But signs of learning and adaptability from Enzo today and that clinched the 3 points.

It’ll be written by the Comms Director. He might potentially have had to sign it off (although maybe not for a run of the mill programme note) but don’t get worked up kidding yourselves that Top sat down and typed that all out. Same with the abomination of a statement at the end of last season. Not his words. That said, I’m sure on that one he had to give hard approval so absolutely his fault looking at that, thinking it was a good plan and signing it off.

Also wanted to share my thoughts having been to the Union FS forum on Thursday night. It’s quite clear that UFS have some great people who genuinely care about the club, the fan community and the city of Leicester. What they’ve achieved across the 10 years they’ve been in action is something they should be incredibly proud of. However, it was also quite clear that they run up against resistance, silence and obstruction from the club on a regular basis. Recent examples where they’ve been able to overcome this - such as the general sale of tickets - are when they’ve partnered with the Foxes Trust. That partnership can be powerful. The Foxes Trust have unfortunately, in many instances, been found wanting in pushing the club or being able to leverage their access as an official supporters trust. It feels like that organisation has gone stale and those in charge don’t have either the appetite or the ability to hold our club accountable. With some of the recent developments, it’s really important we have a Trust that can do that. Because of that, as @CosbehFox says, a number of us have joined to learn more about how the Trust operates and see what we can do to encourage a more effective Trust. Our ability to do that will be made or broken on others coming along with us or not. I’ve been waiting to see if there’s any word from them on the reported financial breaches as well but… tumbleweed. I’m with you though. More than happy to get involved in a movement to sort it out and get a trust that actually works for the fans. Where can people register interest in getting involved as well?

Our club and fans conducted themselves with dignity and respect following that incident and Everton fans were always very positive in their thoughts about us. Then some idiots went and starting singing about Boris Johnson taking their benefits at Goodison and I think some that respect between the two sets of supporters has been a little lost.

Such a dumb thing to say for those saying “you don’t hear complaints about this when we don’t lose”… Of course. If the train’s not delayed, I don’t complain about the state of the rail network. But when it is, the failings of that network are exposed so I do. Games like yesterday give a glimpse into the price we pay for the shambles running our football operation off the pitch. We might be rich enough in league position and points accumulated so far to be able to pay that price, but don’t kid yourself that those asking questions are overreacting to one result or that there aren’t valid criticisms to be made.

Dewsbury-Hall isn’t a technician, he’s an energetic grafter. His attempt against Sheffield Wednesday completely epitomised that. We need a specialist in the summer.

If I was going for a new job right now, the first thing I’d do is connect with a few existing employees on LinkedIn and ask if they’d be open to chatting about the role and company. Quite often companies have referral systems where the employee can put you in and receive a referral bonus if you get the job (which gets them invested in helping you with a bit of insider knowledge). Even if not, it shows a bit of initiative and can help you tailor your application/interview approach.

Quite a few tone deaf to his recent interviews then… You might think it’s just one deal not getting over the line. The bigger picture, however, is that this manager gets frustrated at what he’s working with and potential broken promises. Would it take him walking for you to acknowledge that he’s not asked for much but been given very little in return?

Someone sniffing around Justin before the window closes? Would command a decent-ish fee and I’m sure Maresca, whilst appreciating his quality, sees him as a non-typical fit for his system and therefore very sellable…

Well I would say hiring for ‘coachability’ is more appealing than hiring for someone who believes they are the finished article. If someone has relevant experiences in answer to every question then, great, showcase that in the answers. But also talk about what further development could/should look like. It’s not good for me as the hiring manager, or you as the prospective employee, if I can’t stretch or improve you in our time working together. A question I love asking: tell me about the last time you received feedback you didn’t agree with. How did you respond and what did you do with that feedback? Straightaway the God’s gifters clam up and bumble a start to an answer. They either don’t want to say they disregarded the feedback because they’re completely blinkered, or they are so uncomfortable talking about their development areas that they give a really half-hearted or weak response. Instant red flag.

No great loss. Genuinely think a kid from our academy wouldn’t do any worse if needed. The only thing that distinguished Casadei from being at the level of our academy was that he was owned by Chelsea, not anything on the pitch. We’ve had a real touch getting rid of him and not being forced to play him for the remainder of the season.
