Foxes Trust Reform - the final step

Great result. At least that’s one thing linked to the club that seems to be moving in the right direction. -

Is there any possible reason why he wouldnt get promoted at least to the 21s? All-round game not quite good enough? Prolific just because he's physically more developed than his age group? He once looked at Rudkin funny and now he's being blocked? I've not seen much/any of his play apart from the odd clip on here, but the stats at least speak for themselves. Criminal if we let good strikers go to waste as much as we have done. On that note - who's seen as the bigger talent; Evans or Hutchinson? Both the same age, Hutchinson has been more prolific but Evans has had more experience playing up the age groups. Could they both make it here? -
It's the fact that the consequence of not getting promoted this season is promotion next time around that gets me. No, that's not a consequence, that's an entitlement you petulant manchild. There's nothing at all to suggest that we'll get promoted next season - if anything we're far less likely than we were this time around to be successful. The consequence of not getting promoted is more financial strife and potentially ruining the club even further as the chance of promotion (and sustained PL football) wanes more and more each year, and any positivity and good will at the club goes with it. We need a reset now more than ever. The footballing side is crap but the ebbs and flows are part of the game. The management is inexcusable whatever the case. Fvck me its depressing having our club decimated by these incompetent fvckwits. We were the envy of pretty much every club in the country less than a decade ago FFS.

King til the end of the season in the same way that Shakey took over from Ranieri for a couple months and we started playing like we cared about the club again. But don't make the mistake of giving it to him permanently. Let him take over - maybe with someone like Nige as an advisor to him if he wants to - with the explicit goal of stabilising us and getting us prepared for the new man to take over in the summer and - crucially - make an immediate start on that hiring process.

I wouldn't wish this club on Pearson in the state it's in. He's been through enough already...

More or less my sentiments. I'd be happy to see more of Skipp - despite everything he always seems to at least try which is more than can be said for most the senior squad, including Mavididi from that same group. Souttar doesn't visibly come with the same baggage as the rest of the squad, but he has been around the training ground with them whilst he recovers so who knows if he's part of the rot. Kristiansen is just Thomas but with slightly different flaws. We obviously can't go in with a full youth squad as our first XI, but it's honestly tempting. Begovic Aluko - Souttar - Nelson - ??? James - Skipp S.Thomas - Page - Monga BDCR With the subs including: Jakub*, Gray, Cover, Evans, Hutchison (and possibly the likes of Motsi when they're ready) And for next year: Braybrooke, Alves, Cartwright *I know, but he's still young and could come good. He's not exactly had the best coaches... We're - at best - a mid-table Championship side, and I don't think that squad would be too far off that standard. Get rid of the deadwood and replace with a couple of smart acquisitions and we could solidify our status and start working at becoming a consistent fixture in the top 6 again, with an outside chance at promotion over the next few seasons. Still needs that overhaul in the administrative side of the club, of course...

I take offence at being likened to Ayew…

Wonder who's responsible for the pundits' research on this match - how many times now have they mentioned that we've got plenty of players who can contribute a moment of magic to turn it on its head. I can't seem to recall any of this lot showing anything of the sort.

Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR

We seem to have decided that the best way to negate a points deduction is to play badly enough that it wont make any difference to our final league position... -

Almost exactly a year younger than Monga (one day off), who made his first senior squad in the fa cup on the 7th Feb last year and his debut in April in a PL relegation battle, but managed minutes until he'd finished school last summer. If he's good enough, then there's every chance of it. But he plays more central than Monga so potentially might not get that opportunity quite as early. Monga is definitely an exception rather than the rule though, so I'd imagine Motsi follows a path more similar to Evans' - training with the older pros more often but not quite ready for the step up fully. -
Its a great initative, as always. Is there a straightforward way to contribute for those of us who won't be at the game (for whatever reason)?

Lovely stuff

One way traffic. Not good enough.

It won't happen, but I think it'd be competitive against any league1/2 side for sure. Midfield seems the lightest, but only because Braybrooke and Cartwright are both out on loan. Stolarczyk Aluko - Nelson - K.Gray - L.Thomas Choudhury - Cover S.Thomas - Page - Monga Evans* *or Hutchinson -
I’m starting this a week early. And probably continuing it thereafter too, tbh.
-
For his sake, I hope we don't. Keeping him past this season would be a massive setback for his career. Thankfully for him, I think he's destined to go to a promoted side next year. Which clearly won't be us.

He guides what happens at training, though. If players are consistently making the same mistakes - either through confusing tactics or skill - then that's something that needs to be worked on in training and we should at least see some improvement, or the players dropped for someone else who does. But week on week we see the exact same crap on the pitch, and the same mistakes being made. We throw away points all the time? It's a mentality issue. Get some proper training in or a club psychologist. Marti needs to be taking responsibility for that. Slow, misplaced passes? Drill them again and again and again until we can at least do them at a level suitable for the championship (given that most of these are ex-prem players, that should be the bare minimum) Struggling with fitness/high pressure as the game progresses? Why has he not put his foot down to make sure the fitness training is more disciplined. Instead we have the likes Ayew huffing and puffing barely 30mins into a match. Keep putting ourselves under pressure from short goal kicks? Thats a tactical issue and we need to work on other options between games so we're not reliant on the same thing every time. He doesn't control the players like a game of FIFA, but he controls the day-in day-out stuff that leads up to a match day. If he cant get that right, then he may as well not be here at all. I'd rather have King running the show as Marti offers absolutely nothing at this point.
-
I'm still gobsmacked that he's not been pulled up for a foul throw at all this season. Every other throw he's half a yard on the pitch when he releases it.
-
Bang average first half, going in level. Alright Marti, if you're gonna have any sort of positive impact here, this is the perfect opportunity to show it. Couple of positive changes at half time/early in the second half and be more on the front foot - actually play like the home side for a change - and we've got every opportunity here to show what we can offer for the rest of the season. Equally, if we come out and it's more of the same - or god forbid worse - then for me thats Marti showing (again) that he's not got what it takes to actually get the most out of this club.
-
Just on attitude alone, I’d rather have these two than WF and JV. At least it all feels a bit more positive with these two
-
He’s not played for us… yet Wouldn’t put it past us 🤣
-
It's still less than a decade ago that we were celebrating what was arguably one of the biggest achievements in sporting history. And now we're 4-0 down at half-time against a bang average QPR side and not even looking like we give a sh*t, a pending points deduction for financial mismanagement and regular staff being shafted on their Christmas pay promises. It's an odious culture at the club and that comes right from the top down. It's like we've speedrun how to ruin a football club. Get the tossers out of our club, ASAP. And anyone who's attached themselves to them for the ride in the last few years.
