I would've thought training at a start-of-the-art facility would be more appealing than training at a relatively dated women's only ground. It's not like Seagrave isn't big enough to accommodate both the Men's and Women's sides comfortably. They don't need to be shoved into a corner - integrate them in with scheduled pitch usage, rotate gym schedules, players mingling in the canteen, etc etc. Heck, having it all as a 'One Club' philosophy would surely be a positive, rather than being the afterthought which they often seem to be. Other clubs put SO much more emphasis on their women's side (and academies, for that matter), for Leicester it almost feels like they're a distraction sometimes...

Plus, because of the success we had under Vichai and the (understandable) view that the club is a part of his legacy, Top's even less likely to sell up/move on.

No, even without relegation. I've lost the love for it. As long as these charlatans are running our club then I can't see anything improving, either. If I still lived in Leicester then maybe I'd keep going, but its just not worth the upheaval with travelling down from the northwest to see the same old tedium every other week.

He's crap, but always puts in the effort. At times its comical to watch, but it's always reassuring to at least see people putting themselves on the line a bit. In contrast to Ayew, who has a tiny bit more ability but is perhaps the laziest of the lot. It's night and day when you swap them over.

I’m probably phrasing it poorly - I’ve got no doubt we had relegation clauses in place, but we’re still massively over the break-even point for this division. And it’s one thing putting in a relegation clause in someone’s contract whilst in the premier league, it’s another thing entirely having a clause that covers a double relegation so quickly and fwiw, I’m speculating based on the competency of the board in general rather than any insider knowledge of contracts. Its unfathomable how far we've fallen that this is a pretty common feeling among fans. Missing games because of how bad we are is one thing, but to feel complete apathy about doing so - even not bothering with watching on tv/strm etc - shows just how much the passion has been sapped from the club and fans. When we were first relegated from the PL, we were explicitly told that the leadership at the club just didn't have a plan for it because they didn't expect it to happen. We absolutely would have had clauses in the contracts for that relegation, but whether they were sufficient or not is questionable, and even when in the championship we were signing players on terms way out of the scope of this league. The fact that we've gone and got promoted at the first opportunity has made them think we're just going to do the same again - clear in Tops interview comments - and that league one is completely off their radar. Explicitly putting in clauses for a double relegation is so far past the level of forward-thinking these fools are capable of. If we get relegated we could halve the size of the squad and our wage bill next season would still be the biggest in the division. By contrast, the highest payroll in League One is Cardiff who pay out £13m - a THIRD of what we're currently paying.

Especially when the wages some of those in the top list are on aren't much different from the latter list. We've fallen so far and its good to see the people responsible finally getting properly called out for it. Hopefully the pressure keeps up and we see some major changes in how the club is run. Faes is at Monaco. Soumare got himself a nice deal in the Saudi league. Going back further, Mahrez completely downed tools to force a move, and then had some really succesful years at Man City. Fofana did the same and ended up at Chelsea (less succesfully). Plenty of others have coasted to the end of contracts or into a transfer. Heck, there'll be plenty of players who aren't giving their all because other clubs have made it known that they do want them, and its a way to 'encourage' the selling club to cash in whilst they can. We've got a combination of older players who wouldnt have other clubs lining up anyway (Vestergaard, Ayew) and younger players who've probably been scoping out options for a while (Winks). Our woeful wage structure and general recruitment has put us in a perilous position financially and given all the power away to the players/agents/opposition clubs when it comes to negotiating anything at all. Player's being disinterested is a symptom, not a cause.

If the club ever rebrands - especially to a soulless sponsorship like that - then I'm done. I think the only rebrand that would ever be acceptable is if we do pick up the Fosse name. If they want to buy Leicester without the rebrand, then that's a different question. I'd still rather we didn't become just another Franchise FC, but at least it's slightly more palatable.

Is there any possible reason why he wouldnt get promoted at least to the 21s? All-round game not quite good enough? Prolific just because he's physically more developed than his age group? He once looked at Rudkin funny and now he's being blocked? I've not seen much/any of his play apart from the odd clip on here, but the stats at least speak for themselves. Criminal if we let good strikers go to waste as much as we have done. On that note - who's seen as the bigger talent; Evans or Hutchinson? Both the same age, Hutchinson has been more prolific but Evans has had more experience playing up the age groups. Could they both make it here?

It's the fact that the consequence of not getting promoted this season is promotion next time around that gets me. No, that's not a consequence, that's an entitlement you petulant manchild. There's nothing at all to suggest that we'll get promoted next season - if anything we're far less likely than we were this time around to be successful. The consequence of not getting promoted is more financial strife and potentially ruining the club even further as the chance of promotion (and sustained PL football) wanes more and more each year, and any positivity and good will at the club goes with it. We need a reset now more than ever. The footballing side is crap but the ebbs and flows are part of the game. The management is inexcusable whatever the case. Fvck me its depressing having our club decimated by these incompetent fvckwits. We were the envy of pretty much every club in the country less than a decade ago FFS.

King til the end of the season in the same way that Shakey took over from Ranieri for a couple months and we started playing like we cared about the club again. But don't make the mistake of giving it to him permanently. Let him take over - maybe with someone like Nige as an advisor to him if he wants to - with the explicit goal of stabilising us and getting us prepared for the new man to take over in the summer and - crucially - make an immediate start on that hiring process.

More or less my sentiments. I'd be happy to see more of Skipp - despite everything he always seems to at least try which is more than can be said for most the senior squad, including Mavididi from that same group. Souttar doesn't visibly come with the same baggage as the rest of the squad, but he has been around the training ground with them whilst he recovers so who knows if he's part of the rot. Kristiansen is just Thomas but with slightly different flaws. We obviously can't go in with a full youth squad as our first XI, but it's honestly tempting. Begovic Aluko - Souttar - Nelson - ??? James - Skipp S.Thomas - Page - Monga BDCR With the subs including: Jakub*, Gray, Cover, Evans, Hutchison (and possibly the likes of Motsi when they're ready) And for next year: Braybrooke, Alves, Cartwright *I know, but he's still young and could come good. He's not exactly had the best coaches... We're - at best - a mid-table Championship side, and I don't think that squad would be too far off that standard. Get rid of the deadwood and replace with a couple of smart acquisitions and we could solidify our status and start working at becoming a consistent fixture in the top 6 again, with an outside chance at promotion over the next few seasons. Still needs that overhaul in the administrative side of the club, of course...

Wonder who's responsible for the pundits' research on this match - how many times now have they mentioned that we've got plenty of players who can contribute a moment of magic to turn it on its head. I can't seem to recall any of this lot showing anything of the sort.
