Lets be honest, we're never going to support each other's teams, its just the way it is, but I must say when Vardy & Maddison etc were playing for England, I had much more interest in 'them' and wanted to see good performances from them. I'll do the same with Belgium & Denmark in this competition. Ultimately, I want to see good football, and its a bonus that my team are involved!!

I've been drinking my Irn-Bru like its going out of fashion, thinking I might get some of this 'Optimism' stuff, but in reality I'm just left with uncomfortable gas and a familiar feeling of impending disappointment and a bad case of the 'Poor old Scotland.. valiant in defeat!!' nonsense!! Oh well.. I'll take the high road............

Just my own opinion, but lets all try to be realistic about the situation. Potentially we have to face the possibility of sanctions and a likely points deduction at a yet undetermined level the possibility of having to sell playing assets to limit further breaches replace the manager and adopt a potentially new playing style and philosophy before the start of the season Whoever takes the position is going to be up against it. We can decide to either support them, or not, depending on your preference. I, for one will, start the season knowing that its going to be a tough journey, but I will carry a spark of hope for another 'Great Escape'!!

Interestingly (or not as the case may be) renowned source 'Caught Offside' are reporting that besides us (up to 15 point deduction ), Forest, Chelsea and Villa have all breached FFP and are facing sanctions for the 2024/25 season. They are also stating that the 115 charges levelled at Manchester City will be heard before Christmas. Must be true then!!

This is a blessing in disguise. Good luck to Enzo but his style of play in the Premiere League with the players we have, in my opinion, would have been a train wreck. Onwards and upwards, but I do hope the Board appoint a suitably capable manager soon to make the most of pre-season and a change of footballing philosophy. One can hope!!

As a matter of interest.. I wonder what other teams will also be in breach and facing points deductions? I find it hard to believe that we will be the only ones in trouble, and if there are, perhaps our chances of survival next season will be better than the media would have us believe. All in all.. it's such a dog's mess. Money has ruined the game.

Just my opinion, but I feel a pragmatic approach from the LCF Board (is this an oxymoron??) is quite likely with regards to the managerial succession. I imagine we will look to avoid any compensation payments to other clubs, so I predict an un-exciting Moyes / Cooper result. Stand by to repel boarders!!
