I mean, it's not, but okay.

I'm not a big fan but he has been better than Marti, who was fortunate enough to have a fully fit James. Our form falling off a cliff pretty much coincides with his injury. I've felt we've become harder to beat, but can't score. Regardless, we need a fresh start in the summer both in terms of management and squad. You'd hope we've been planning for this moment but I'm not holding my breath.

Skipp is dreadful, offers nothing offensively or defensively. Those three wall passes that Winks played to him where he could've turned but didn't were ridiculous.
-
Doesn’t look like he gives a shit, at all. He will be out the door in the summer to a big six academy.
-
Plays like he cares, unlike Monga.

In Marti’s slight defence about the running…it is blatantly obvious we are chronically unfit. That work is done in the early summer when we had largely had RvN and then King. It’s hard to build fitness during the season as the games come thick and fast, he can’t just run them into the ground in training.

I think we have a unique set of circumstances when it comes to King Power. Regardless of how much you question their role in winning the title or how much luck in hiring Ranieri was involved, fact is King Power were the owners for it. Follow this up with Vichai's death at the ground, King Power's support in the community over the years, and the FA Cup win and Europe runs and you can see how it would create a significant emotional bond with the fanbase. It's different to Newcastle, Sheffield Wednesday, Wolves etc. Clearly for many on here (and me too), our decline over the last five years and lack of change, accountability and leadership at the top mean a change in ownership is now required, but for people who are less engaged it will probably take a lot more (League one, even administration) to reach that point, and even then it'll be reluctantly. We can see from the response to the King Power Out banner on social media and in the stands that large chunks of the fanbase are nowhere near that point yet and some are unfortunately prepared to get violent over it.

Okoli is just as much of a liability, he just doesn't have the baggage that Faes has.
-
Just me that thinks Ayew's corners, which are no means great, are the best option available? James's at the weekend were worse. He then swapped with Thomas who promptly overhit it by 20 yards.
-
He has Thomas and Kristiansen as his LB options, Hamza as a regular rotation right back, a very average keeper and no competent striker. We are limping and Nelson should be in the squad but the answer isn't to bin the manager every few months.
-
We have so many poor players - Choudhury, Thomas, Soumare and Daka are all miles off it and you can’t carry them all. Marti isn’t covering himself in glory but the fault as ever lies with the dreadful running of the club.

Swansea 1-3 LCFC, post match thread
NewburyFox replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
Putting in a tackle which should have resulted in a goal kick let alone a corner is good defending - it's not Faes' fault the referee makes a shocking decision. -
Fair play to Coventry they are shitting goals. With the players we have we are not going to score many, regardless of who the manager is. We don’t have much creativity and our strikers don’t score. Our best chance of success is to be a solid side that dominates possession, which I think is what Marti is working towards. We completely stifled this Coventry side, we just need add more going forward. Hopefully Ramsey can go into a midfield three with James and Winks and be the creative spark.
-
Hamza and Thomas having a competition for who can be most shit.
-
Is he allergic to going forward? He is a decent defender but when you compare him to Ricardo on the other side it is night and day.
-
Came over and clapped the fans at the end with the rest of the team. Hopefully this can be a fresh start for him.
-
He is a box to box midfielder with no awareness of what’s going on around him and a general unwillingness to fight for the shirt. For some of the headers Charlton won at corners, he was the closest player but doesn’t want to challenge for it. Unless Marti sorts out his attitude, he will be a liability all season. Somehow he is still better than Skipp. I cannot wait to be rid of him.
-
We really need whatever the issue currently is between Winks and the club/fans to be resolved because he has to play every week if we have any ambition this season.
-
I understand people not wanting him to play again, he is dreadful - but so is Skipp. Winks doesn't want to be here. What exactly is our centre midfield?
-
It's concerning that he doesn't have a clear best position. He plays as a winger but can't beat his man or cross particularly well - he works hard and has a goal in him but that's about it. He'll be 24 in November so not a kid anymore either.

Vardy, Ward and Iversen to leave at the end of the month.
NewburyFox replied to ramboacdc's topic in Leicester City Forum
How depressing that after this shambolic season, the only ones out of contract are two goalkeepers and Vardy. -
I thought he defended pretty well (although let’s be fair, Salah should’ve had a couple, including inside two minutes) but offered next to nothing going forward. I suspect it’ll be a battle between him and Kristiansen again for the spot next season as we will have bigger priorities.
-
I do understand the stick he receives for the mostly PR waffle he comes out with, but at least he's willing to put his head above the parapet to be shot at. A quick look at the players' socials suggests that only Hermansen so far has actually said anything?

Season Ticket Renewal Deadline Shut
NewburyFox replied to The Year Of The Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
I really wasn't planning to but I've been going with my dad since 2009 and he wanted to continue, and I didn't want to regret not going. So I have renewed but without much enthusiasm. I will however give up pretty much all away games apart from a select few. I don't think it'll happen but I'm praying for a complete overhaul of the footballing operation now. -
I hate to be that guy but I donated for the "Premier ambitions, amateur decisions" message, which is also on the GoFundMe page. I am on the fence with wanting King Power Out as in a perfect world I want to see the entire football operation restructured and modernised with King Power and Top still at the helm. There is a significant sentimental connection there given what the club has gone through over the past decade. If the message was "King Power Out" I'm not sure I would've donated.
