Assist, perfectly good goal chalked off wrongly last night and missed a sitter. Not bad at all. He’s a great player.

I really should learn. Apologies.

millwall are doggo. The Southampton cruiser seems holed beneath the waterline.

Nope it was clear as day a perfectly timed challenge and only after contacting the ball did the opposition player clatter into Ricardo’s legs. -

Yes I hope so I really do. Although I wasn’t about the Leeds game was I? Despite plenty jumping on what I said. For what’s its worth I think we will squeak up but not by a huge margin. -

What I’m seeing here is a lot of people with the same level of complacency endemic last season. We were too good to go down. We’re too good not to go up. Most of the game yesterday we were by far the better side. Terrible officiating aside, we should have put it to bed. The real test comes in the next game. Win that and we can start to build some momentum again. However, my concern is that the fragility I feared still remains in the team and that will become ever more obvious as the season enters the final straight. Again, hope I’m wrong, but we will see. -

Played way better than I expected. Should have won. Daka goal should have stood. We should have been 3 up at least anyway. result was what I expected. Move on. -
Vesty, Daka, KDH been our best players in that order for me. Whole team putting in a shift. Need a little more sharpness up front. That’s not taking away from the fact that Leeds have been good and quite dangerous. All to play for.

I got over it Monday evening/Tuesday morningish. I’m more bakerlite. -
Really? I thought you were the man who knew things. You really think Enzo is likely to change his tactics?
-
Always bothers me when players say stuff like that. Some maybe call a player previously who said something along the lines lines of, pressure is for other people. Hmmm. Let’s see.
-
Seems some are beginning to see the enormity of this game. If we lose yes we are still 6pts above them, but the psychological damage it ‘might’ do could see us unravel. Some have said they’ve seen us fight in some games. I can’t say as I really have - not really grit our teeth and dig in. Leeds will come at us hard, press us and keep hounding us for most of the 90mins. I think technically we are the better team. I think we have, on balance, the better players. We really should give them a good game, but I think we will crumble. Just a feeling, nothing more really. I like being wrong anyway. 🤣🤣

It’s working. Don’t knock it you fool.
-
You’ve obviously never made hay in blistering sunshine. Warm and snug? Try it in an old Massey 365. Like sitting in an oven covered in itching powder. 🤣🤣🤣
-
Didn’t say their heads have dropped though. I said we don’t do as well when we’re in a scrap. Fair enough if you disagree, but that’s how I see it. You only have to look at our results against the better teams, where we’ve had more of a tussle to contend with.
-
Do we really strike you as a team who will dig in, man the trenches and fight like hell? I think we’re very good indeed when things are going our way. Less so when they’re not. I’m prepared for defeat at Leeds, as in my opinion, that is the most likely result. More than happy to be proven wrong and will be delighted with a draw or win.
-
He was trying to bring on a 2nd striker without disrupting the shape too much. Fats had been swinging deep crosses into the back post often and I think Enzo thought Cannon might profit from that. Turned out to be a bit of an error if you ask me, but I can certainly see what he was aiming at.
-
The trouble is, when you’re wedded to a tactic as firmly as Enzo is to his, how do you tweak that to compensate for another team’s strengths? I don’t think he will, not in any meaningful way. Hope I’m wrong, but I seriously doubt it. We will go out to play our game and impose our style. If, and when, that doesn’t work, we will resort to headless chicken mode.
-
Didn’t see him do much wrong or right yesterday, much like the rest of the team. It was a meh performance and a meh result. Over it now. Let’s move on and batter dirty Leeds - we won’t, of course, but hope springs eternal.
-
Yeah I know. I can hardly be arsed to get out of bed for £20-£30k a week, let alone play - PLAY - a game of football. Must be bloody tough getting yourself up for that.
-
Can only strengthen if you have the financial leeway. It appears we didn’t, even for the Italian stallion.
-
The Daka slating is quite funny really. He’s a good player and a good striker. Wasn’t the only one to miss a sitter yesterday. One of those who did was the GOAT.
-
I think some people need to feel better about themselves by virtue signalling. Thats ok too. No worries. Been a City fan a long time now and I’ve seen a lot, as have many here. It’s my dislike of losing that makes me grumpy. I fear I will spend most of next season very moody indeed - only with regard to LCFC. Which means, of course, that I think we will get promoted. I just think we have a brittle underbelly and lack the ability to really fight in a game. Will we win the title? Likely yes in my opinion, but by a few points.
