It’s a shame this season is going the way I feared. Enzo has done a great job lifting the club out of the doldrums, but his stubbornness and intransigence seem liable to plunge us back into it. We have a team well capable of executing Enzo ball and winning most matches. We played some awesome football at Leeds and lost 3-1. We created a lot against Middlesbrough but were poor in front of goal. Today we were truly dogshit, like we didn’t believe in ourselves at all. That is majorly concerning. Enzo is unlikely to change his approach because that would mean admitting that his style doesn’t work in every situation. Then what? Sunderland is absolutely make or break.

To be fair it’s not over and it’s still all in our hands. I think the next game is literally make or break. We win it and we can start to build some positive momentum again, we lose it and we are done - in my opinion. The most sickening thing is that this has been coming for many weeks. I’m not paid to see it and nor are others, but we did. It can be stopped and we can turn this around.

Enzo got lucky coming to us. We have a good squad but a spine made of custard. Don’t get me wrong, I think Enzo is a good guy and a very good coach. We’ve seen some huge improvements in some players and a style that saw us running away at the top of the league. However I think any good manager could and would have done the same. His inexperience is about to tell unfortunately. Having a set style of play is ok and reaps rewards if you execute it correctly. We just aren’t doing that at the moment. Those saying we are suffering for not strengthening in January might be correct to a degree, but we have enough in our squad to see this out. This isn’t about our players and their ability, this about their character. I don’t think Coady is great but I would play him in every game now for his leadership alone. We need to show character and fight, but I’m not sure it’s there. Enzo is about to earn his corn. This is a major wobble at precisely the wrong time. Win the next game and steady the ship. If we don’t win the next game we will slide into the playoffs and, frankly, I can’t see us getting promoted from there if that happens.

I said some weeks ago that we were in trouble. I could see it. Got shot down like I did when we finished 5th in the Prem and I said we would be relegated. We are in trouble and I think that is plain to see. Just got to hope we win Tuesday and we steady the ship now because the implosion is well underway. Enzo will stick to his guns and perhaps that is a bonus now, rather than flapping. we were awful today. Both wingers diabolical. KDH absolute garbage. Winks not his imperious best. Bad decision, just poor all round.

Despite what people are saying we have the men on the pitch to win this comfortably. But we are playing absolutely ass. No cut, no thrust, no guile, no craft. Possession yes. Brendan would be delighted but I’m not.

We seem in control currently but I’d just like an early goal to settle my nerves.

The Leeds wobble begins. Hopefully ours has gone. Beat QPR today and we are right back on track.

98 minutes. Seriously. Great result for Udders. Great result for us. Fuch Leeds.
-
Does seem a little unfair on occasion.
-
What a quick breakaway and boom - 2-1 Udders? Err, doubtful but I’d take it.
-
Love me some proper Udders. Come on lads. Keep em up.

Never really understood that phrase to be honest. When you actually consider it they’re one of the toughest things around.

Toys are quite a complex thing. They come in many shapes. Coal, long tailed, blue, bearded - it goes on. I’m not a fan of bearded tits but then I’m old and not quite on board with these new ladies we have around. -

I’m sure Enzo will have them with their feet on the ground. You can’t play football on broomsticks, all right Harry? Unless you’re manager is Potter, obviously. -

Quite confident about this one. Think we will concede but feel we score 3 or 4 today. Time will tell, but feel unusually positive. -

I think the lad could be an absolutely top keeper. I won’t say world class, but he has many incredible attributes. Time will tell, but I don’t think we need to be looking for a new keeper. -

Indeed. Whilst I have to say we showed grit, focus and determination, as well as quite some skill at times, it was one game. As you say, a game basically where the 2nd string was fielded. It should send some confidence through the squad. I hope so. -
If Carlsberg did fantasies.

Yup, definitely agree that our results will be consistent in the Premier League, should we get back there.

Don’t think Chelsea beat Leeds to be honest.
