  1. No high enough for my liking . To be fair, there's a few that had higher than I expected (though I certainly don't think are overrated) but still a few undercooked; Evans the main one
  2. He is
  3. I'm not sure you can actually fail PSF. The owners seem to always cover the cost or find a sponsorship to cover it. I sold those guys plus Winks (and probably somebody else in forgetting), loaned out Hamza, Vestergaard, VK. On a test save I did a few weeks ago where I just whizzed through to get a feel of the UI, I managed to sell everyone so annoying I couldn't this time. Daka scored a hat trick and proceeded to bang them in . Got rid of him in Jan. Normally very easy to win the PL from here in 4/5 years so I'm trying to do things that are less FM like. Not signing loads of players on the cheap to loan then sell for big profit/not signings on installments/not signing players for £50m just because I have the budget even if they will be worth 3 times that/minimum squad turnover/not selling players if they have played well just because their attributes or star rating is poor and you know that you're better off without them. Basically no hard and fast rules but just trying to make it a tiny bit more challenging. Have got one stupid 'bug'. Fatawu came and asked for a new contract a good few months before the end of the season which I was happy to do. His demands were £350k-£400k a week . Whilst still in the championship and not promoted. Plus no interest from other clubs. Mental
  4. Haven't been in that place for a couple of years. Nothing happened after the worst relegation in history so why does anyone think he'd start making changes now? And Top's the catalyst, not Rudkin
  5. To be fair though, some of those things (thinking the general rules/constitutions) are actually very important for groups like this. It's just when they become obstructive or are twisted to obstruct well meaning change as I suspect is the case here
  6. Say this every time he gets mentioned but I when I was a teenager, I was at a neighbour's party with Steve Bruce and some other ex Gillingham players and he was saying Muzzy was one of the best players he'd worked with (and he was talking about his playing days too). Was genuinely gutted that he had so many injuries and never got the best of him. And people probably forget, Steve Bruce was actually a decent manager back in the day. Probably one of the most generous and genuine people around; He'd travelled down from Birmingham to Kent straight after a match (coincidentally a draw against us when Elvis Hammond had scored so it doesn't get much worse than that), all for a wedding anniversary party for one of his old coaches. On Muzzy, shows how important timing was as if he'd been around 15 years later he'd easily have been a 50 cap player for England. Stupid that he never got a chance anyway. Reading his book, sounds like Turkey was always going to be impossible for him.
  7. The way that statement is worded is about as big an admission of the club's wrongdoing as you'll get, when you read between the lines. The tone of it is completely different to what they'd normally put out, even on this kind of subject matter; it's almost slightly apologetic.
  8. No different with all injuries though. Quite a few lads do their ACL where they can play on and it's not until the next day that they find out it's ruptured. When I did mine, it completely went and swelled up immediately with no way I could put weight on it. That was nearly 10 years ago and I've never been able to properly run again, yet the doctor in a and e said I'd probably just hurt my meniscus . That was after he claimed he'd done the same running a marathon and couldn't get out of bed for a week. Us mere mortals probably get the worse of it in terms of recovery but it's just a bit pointless speculating at the moment. Unlikely that it's going to be nothing but that could have been a big precaution and it's fairly minor. Here's hoping anyway because his inclusion has been the only slither of hope recently
  9. Was actually decent today. Obviously a few times it was typically loose but he dealt with quite a few tricky passes really well and some great one touch passing.
  10. Bloody hope it's not too bad. Clearly the best defender we have
  11. Based on your other takes, you probably think Carranza or Ayew are better than him
  12. He was better than that. Obviously he's still crap but he worked his socks off, actually had lots of good link up play and most importantly, he gave us some sort of out ball/occupied the defence. As you say, we have to accept where we are at the moment and the fact that he's a million miles better than the other options up top
  13. Exactly why he should be playing deeper so he can make those runs
  14. Darling should be off. How he got away with a yellow in the 1st half is crazy
  15. Just look at where people are pointing the finger after that goal. So many blaming anyone but him. He's given it away like that about 5 times this match.
  16. Haha, I knew he'd scored because of the reaction here
  17. Not exclusive to Marti but it's mind boggling that managers are so conservative to making subs when losing. Should have immediately made a double change when we went down.
  18. Vestergaard giving it away yet again. And people think he's quality
  19. Why, what's he done?
  20. F that if he's crocked. I'm done
  21. Modern football. Don't remember the last manager who didn't do this. Makes absolutely no sense
  22. Well it's certainly better than playing at walking pace and letting the opposition do whatever they want isn't it? Beggars can't be choosers
  23. Well considering he's the only one running and scrapping, I think you can let him off today
  24. That all came because Vestergaard somehow let Sargent keep the ball in play. He's doesn't half make it easy to pick on him
  25. Definite yellow but that also means Darling should have got one as well
