Forest struggling to sell out their first home European match in over 30 years.

I like Ange and his character, but aside from the trophy, he was woeful at Tottenham and I cannot see him lasting that long. Yes he may be mates with Marinakis, but I don't get the impression he's a walkover and like to be his own man, so can't see him being mates for long.

Forest fans have been blinded by the reality of what's actually going on in the Club. The club has enjoyed recent success in spite of Marinakis, not because of him. It's due to people like Cooper and Nuno. Giving him more and more control of the playing side is only going to make things worse. Aside from Marinakis questionable conduct, dealings, and other "interests", good owners need to allow managers to look after the football side.

Yes, I fully agree. However, increasingly fans and the public wish to be entertained. Pubs are getting less popular because the days of people talking to each other and entertaining themselves are sadly becoming a memory

What's funny is watching youtubers trying to create content and small talk for another half hour when there's nothing to talk about, and getting annoyed by it. Maybe do a stream after 7pm when the window is shut?!

Good move for him!

He comes across well and pretty articulate (for a footballer βΊοΈ). I hope he builds a bit of confidence from the other night and show it on the pitch.

I don't think the number of followers on social media is a good marker for assessing how "big" a club is. Like with most of the web, it's often false and not based on true reality. Being a premier league club for a a while especially with huge exposure abroad, we attracted a lot of attention, yes, and we also get new "followers" and "fans" when we sign a player from country X - but remember, many of these "fans" are transient and move on from club to club when players move on. If we have millions of and millions of fans world wide, you'd be expecting our stadium to be full to the rafters for every match week in week out.

Really good atmosphere from kick off. It seemed to "catch" from SK1 into G1, perhaps due to the standing thing. We need more of this. Perhaps a better pre-match experience would help supporters get more "up for it". The fan zone was a good start last season, but they really need to improve - an official last year at the fan zone said the site was too small and they were looking to move it this season. Don't know what happened to that plan. When some people still prefer to stand around the car park of a chain pub and cinema drinking instead of your own stadium ! I'm sure fans would be happy to get to the ground 1-2hours before KO, spend some much needed money to the Club for a better experience, not just for kids, but also for adults too - better drinks and food, better aesthetics, hey even some stuff that people could instagram the hell out of such as statues/murals/historic stuff about the club. I like the stuff John Hutchinson club historian does - they could really use his experience to design some stuff for around the ground. If they spent as little of the effort and money doing the area around the stadium as they did doing the Vichai statue and garden (RIP), it'd pay off in so many ways.

I've seen MON a couple of times at these types of events. He's exceptionally charismatic and very quick and witty - excellent speaker. The MON era was probably my favourite on par with Nigel's.

Other than that though, it's great

What's horrible about Melton Road?

And for the veggies, Kayal's sister on Granby St is Herb is excellent - and does do aoochol too!

Some good suggestions here. One to add is Santhi on Grandby Street - so not far from KP and near the train station. Great India/east asian fusion stuff there such as chilli paneer etc. Standard food affair. Been a few times, never really that busy, and mostly see Tigers fans there!

Interestingly Faes when he was younger was always seen as a good head and had leadership qualities. Perhaps its the sign of the situation at the club, on and off the pitch, that he makes these errors of judgment. No matter how much fans give you stick, home or away ones, there is a clear line about not reacting to it. It never helps the situation and just causes as escalation next time. -
Quite like a sponsorless shirt - most sponsors add nothing to the design and often puts people buying it (unless it's a sponsor with local connection such as Walkers). The big issue is the impact on our finances. Interestingly increasingly you see sponsorless clubs at the start of the season, adopting something months into it. Perhaps we're holding out for a better offer.

I'd want to keep him. We can't flog every asset we have. We need him and would struggle with a cheaper replacement. I don't fully understand the issues last season. All I heard is that he wanted to stay closer to the family, reasonable when you've just had a newborn baby!

He's a very capable player at this level. With the right manager and environment, I don't see why he can't gain the support back from some of the fans and have a decent season. -
Love his play and movement, and he seems the same off the pitch too - smiling, happy, joyful. Hope he stays fit this season. He brings a lot of enjoyment to the fans, which is essentially what football is all about.
-
Very positive going forward and made some key passes and links up - very encouraging!

Changed the game yesterday when he came on. He needs to start.
