  1. Leicester has the best Indian food of anywhere in the UK. No doubt about it. And that's sufficient for me
  2. It's all subjective to an extent. I actually live in Beeston - good proper pubs but not really much else. West Bridgford pretends to be all classy but it's pretty generic, big houses, big cars, small streets, middle classers, and chain restaurants. It also has terrible public transport. Never understood why colleagues buy house 50% more market value haha - well I do, it's the "status" and "the school" which also seems to not be as good anymore!
  3. Coventry is a total dump - my grandparents used to live around Foleshill Road, and genuinely it's one of the worst parts I've ever seen.
  4. I agree BTG is a good one and the analysis is excellent, but even with that channel, look at their last few videos and thumbnails - it's pretty awful.
  5. That's great in your case, but that isn't everyone. We have to understand that amongst supporters there will be a group increasingly, who are vulnerable, and are often preyed on for clicks etc.
  6. Fully agree. When I was young and grew up in Leicester, family and many others would prefer to go to Nottingham as they had better shops, shopping centres etc. Now it's the reverse. A night out in Nottingham is dead, and what is left is a mixture of identity crisis and dereliction. I live in the suburbs of Notts, and can count maybe twice i've gone into Nottingham centre. Been to Derby once and that was more than enough - terrible geography, no real "centre", and aside from generic shops and chains, offers very little.
  7. Leicester is just like most UK cities - has some nice bits and some bad bits. I live in Nottingham now, and in comparison, the pubs, restaurant and shops in Leicester centre are much better. There's also the brilliant Comedy Festival, Curve Theatre, Space Centre and Golden Mile. Leicestershire has some lovely small towns and villages. Most people who criticise places have either never been there, or themselves don't shop/eat/drink to see for themselves.
  8. The so called experts are idiots. It's not factual. It's their opinion. Hopefully media outlets will soon realise they are guests that are not worth having on anymore.
  9. What is sad, is that I can kinda understand newspapers etc doing this to fans, but I don't really understand why fan channels and other fans want to upset your own. Strange.
  10. Great news - at least we'll be relegated on sporting merit
  11. Football is emotion but clearly information overload and misinformation is having an affect on the wellbeing on many fans. Social media, fan channels and news agencies are all about clickbait. Back to back 24/7 negative stories. I’m sure some fans on here would have had sleepless nights the past few days, having digested all the alarmist stuff online. The recent PSR stuff crystallised the downside of social media, online, videos, fan channels etc Up until today we’ve seen scare stories, rumours, and often just made up nonsense. That harms individuals and whole groups of supporters. What’s the solution? Look after yourself, shut down the noise, limit what you watch and read. Enjoy supporting your club through thick and thin.
  12. It's a sign of the times isn't it that this kinda stuff is now an annual thing. Bit like transfer window deadline day. Everyone eagerly awaiting news on social media, people speculating, and then gassing. The football seems to matter less and less.
  13. What's even more concerning is that I've seen plenty of pages celebrating this kinda stuff. Strange times!
  14. Good luck to them - always good to see some variety at the top. It's a good club and decent fans too. I live and work in Nottingham and there is a real buzz around. Pretty stark to when turning up to City games, which is a bit rubbish nowadays. Believe it or not, the people that grown up 30 miles up the road are not that different to Leicester folk.
  15. Fully agree the rules and there are we have broken them. What people on here cannot have is both ways - complain when we haven't signed 10 star players every transfer window, and then complaining when the club are struggling to generate income and spending.
  16. Think you've misinterpreted the point. Leicester is not a League One side. Historically, we have always floated between divisions 1 and 2. We are not a massive club like Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, and to think we are in their same league is delusional.
  17. Leicester is not a big club and we cannot generate the revenues as any of the big clubs. Yes some of it has been mismanagement both on and off the field, but the bottom line is this is not a fair playing field and the odds are increasingly stacked against clubs like Leicester. Just look at clubs like Brighton and Villa - yes they have had the odd 4/5th place finish, but reality is they won't be competing for trophies, now matter how "well run" they are - and each of those clubs just need one bad transfer window, and they'll fall. We've massively overachieved the past decade. Part of me has to accept that the club gave it a go, but we now enter a new phase of seeing the club where we have always been.
  18. Forest accepted it was worth the breach and take the points hit - they are now enjoying the perks of spending last season. Increasingly I think clubs will look at this, do the maths and risk. Breaching PSR and getting point deductions will sadly be a more common occurrence.
  19. A positive step. The club desperately need good and talented people in place, if we are ever to get anywhere near the club we once were. That was Pearson's strengths and we rested on laurels off it for a decade..
  20. I would have him back. He was player of the season one year. Good players don't go rogue for nothing. Perhaps Man U was just a too big a step up.
  21. I'm guessing the extra seats will be for "tourists" and corporate "observers". Bit like the theatre or a concert.
  22. They should have a samosa stand there selling delicious Leicester samosas!
  23. Went to one with Tags earlier in the year - he was clearly enjoying himself 🍻🍻🍻🍻😃
  24. There is a bit a an ex-player circuit at other clubs, it's surprising there isn't much at Leicester. Quite lucrative for them too!
  25. We'll see more and more of these events, probably around the 10th anniversary of our title. But it'll be a laugh and not too expensive.
