Do they have a plan we don’t know about?
pkonline replied to WarehamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Is the plan to stink the whole place out, alienate your fans, waste money, and get relegated and end up sitting in Championship for the next decade, then it's working well! -
Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
pkonline replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Our lack of quality transfers in and out this window isn't a surprise - our transfer windows over the past 5 years have been a total mess. It doesn't surprise me so no meltdown. Just disappointment that our club is on this downward path. We know where we are going to end up! -
How significant was the loss of Kasper Schmeichel?
pkonline replied to Pliskin's topic in Leicester City Forum
Massive loss and it was obvious what we would miss when he left. It's also puzzling how he left, it was never clear what prompted it. -
"Only Leicester, Wolves and Southampton have lost more home games in the Premier League this season than the Red Devils." May actually get a result 😬😁

Comparing this season to 2014/15 Great Escape
pkonline replied to tickler28's topic in Leicester City Forum
That season we lost games we shouldn't., and played well. We also had players like Vardy and Mahrez that we knew could get us points. This team I think we've been lucky and could actually be on fewer points! And sadly I cannot see any player in our squad that can change games. We'll go down and I suspect with one of our lowest point totals. -
Doesn't really talk much about Leicester which is a shame. His spell at Villa seems to be more prominent, even though he won more with us! Obviously Celtic is his big one, and the Keane connection too. I could listen to MON for hours - he's got that whit and charisma that is often lacking in podcasts etc nowadays.

3 excellent presenters and hopeful of a fresh reboot of an institution! Still something nice about watching MOTD, despite already seeing the goals on YouTube earlier!
-
If you prefer the West Mids, recommend Five Rivers in Walsall - brilliant!
-
"Dude", that's the naivety. Folk in Leicester are lucky that they can appreciate Indian food is varied. It isn't all pints, poppadums, biryani, paratha and chicken curries.

That what happens when you have a Punjabi and Gujrati fighting it out to decides who's taste is the best

For sure, Birmingham has good Punjabi food. My point was, Leicester has some excellent food and a wide range of it. That is what makes Leicester scene IMO better.

I live in Notts, and they're all fine standard affairs but if i'm craving some higher quality food, 25mins train back to Leicester. Mem Saab and Calcutta are fine for a laugh, beers and "curreh".

A Beeston pub crawl is excellent!
-
So where do you enjoy? Queuing up at Dishoom Kings Cross?
-
I wash my hands with soap and water after a meal. If you're after the restaurants on Maid Marian Way, they're fine for a laugh and drinking with curry, but nothing else and pretty standard stuff.

Options for owners 1. Stick with King Power 2. Sell to American owners 3. Sell to a nation state 4. Stick to a local person "done good" 5. Fan ownership

Plenty of good examples on the Golden Mile and increasingly in the city centre. Although feel free to enjoy a bowl Tamatanga and swinging at Mowgli in Nottingham if that is your fancy .

Ok

In Leicester with a high Asian population you can find authentic cuisines all styles such as South India, Mumbai, Punjabi, Gujrati. It is good because Indian people eat there!
-
Give it a go! They're cheap anyway!

Which pubs in the centre do you recommend?
-
The samosas there are Punjabi style so basically potatoes and spices. Leicester samosas have mixed veg - yum yum - you should try them - recommend: Bhojalram 41 Melton Rd, Leicester LE4 6PN

I do. I eat lots of places. I'm talking about proper authentic Indian food. Not the rubbish from chains and curry houses where you drink 5 Cobras and 20 poppadum etc. Leicester is the Curry Capital.
