The ref is letting a lot of fouls in the back and shirt pulls go which is frustrating the tiny glimmer of hope of attacking threat.

Wtf was that set piece. 20 seconds left yeh let’s go away from goal. Jesus how brain dead our players are.
-
The biggest worry for me is there were early signs of a style and plan against Fiorentina. I’ve seen none of it in the opening three games.
-
I just remind myself it could and will be worse at some point during the match…
-
What a brain fart

We realistically only have Winks to come in so one of Skipp and Soumare was always going to survive.
-
Welcome to the championship. Nice to see similar to happen to Brum soon too.
-
Oh dear Danny.
-
Defending so far in these first two weeks has been so bad. Feels like the gap to the PL is getting so big.
-
Ssssh. Don’t encourage them…!
-
Will be interesting to see how a spine of Ward, Coady and James gets on…

Do any of our players like playing for us? Sad really when you think of the connection with the fans two years ago.
-
If that is true and our answer was anything other than “he is not for sale” then god help us. I’m not aware of any PSR benefit of selling now over next Summer and he might be the difference between top 6 and not. EK is different if someone triggers the release clause.

How many more times tonight will Don Goodman talk about Leeds? Woeful commentator.

Poor fee however we try to spin it to convince ourself it's decent. IF he stays fit, he will go on to be a very successful keeper, although always a chance that one big injury leads to another (see Maddison). I don't buy the poor negotiation position argument - maybe to a small extent. A proven goalkeeper who is extremely comfortable with their feet and a good shot stopper is very difficult to find, and very sought after in the modern game. You can't ignore other keeper transfers this Summer - we've known all along Potter was interested, his keeper coach knows Mads and their style of play suits them. They would have gone higher if pushed I'm pretty certain. All that to one side, these kinds of deal just reinforce in my mind how inadequate PSR is and how all it does is protect the big clubs.

James Justin (signed for Leeds, official. 10m.)
Benji replied to SouthStandUpperTier's topic in Transfer Talk
Glad to see he’s still seen as one of the good guys as I’ve always had a soft spot for him. Plagued by injuries but never any trouble and never seemed to lack effort. An offer of a few million though you have to take it. Would be sad to see him go. -
I’m pretty shite at accounts so could be wrong but if it’s a P&L test presumably you reduce expenses of weekly wage too which won’t be small.
-
Winter talking like he’s been here 4 years and through 2 relegations. Best of luck to him if he goes but he’s done nothing but benefit from the platform of our last two years.
-
Really? I don't know much about him other than he barely played for Chelsea, spent time in the MLS and a loan at Strasbourg. Mads pre injury was keeping us in every premier league game under Cooper with worldie saves game to game, and is very comfortable with his feet (the modern game) - he's proven he can do it in the PL and cope with the pressure. Add to that he's exactly what Potter wants/needs, which adds value as there aren't many in the market with his proven skillset. Maybe I just need to watch more European football to comment, but I feel like we're often too quick to play down some of our players.

Considering Petrovic has gone for around £25m to Bournemouth, we really shouldn't be accepting anything less than that (and arguably more).
-
Reality is as average as Ayew is he’s a good Championship striker and will get goals. Certainly more likely to score than Daka.
-
Sell Wissa and one or two more and Brentford will be pushing the promoted sides hard for relegation.
-
Took all that time and they manage to take an extremely unflattering photo that makes him look like Dave from Sales.
-
Would suggest the issue with Rohl has been the Sheff Wed owner all along, and we're tired of waiting and wasting pre-season time. (Or he doesn't want it...)

Yeh I think I'm done if this is where we're going. We'll always have Vichai's legacy, for which I'll be forever grateful, but this current mob are showing a level of business and commercial incompetence not seen since our administration days, and complete contempt for the fans with zero communication other than bullsh1t social media posts about how great morale is in the camp. The FFP/PSR loopholes have been nothing to celebrate, the idiots merely swept their financial mismanagement under the rug with a smart lawyer, but now it's all coming back out the other side. I'm done with being squeezed on extortionate matchday tickets for what is likely to now be more sh1te football with zero plan (Cooper MKII). The fact our pre season has started and we're still not clear what type of a manager we want, let alone who, is shocking in itself, and I can't believe there's not more publicity on how bad things have become particularly when you see that list of candidates.
