    Yeah fair enough, I hadn't considered that. Thomas started the FA Cup final at 19 though, so I'd argue the point is still valid.

    If he doesn't go out on loan in this window, it's not looking like he'll be around the first team either so he's playing youth football again. He's 21 in the summer, young but not that young. Luke Thomas (who is roundly accepted as not good enough for us) was starting for us every week before he was 21, including winning the FA Cup. Not saying that it won't happen for him, but he's at a very crucial age, as is Nelson and Alves (although I think Alves is a year below).
