If we don't get promoted this season the remnants of our PL quality all leave in the summer either because they want to or becasue we have to sell them or they're out of contract. We're left with a firmly second division side with only the "we used to be good when you were a teenager" line to try and attract new signings. If we don't go up this season I think we'll be here a good few seasons more as it'll be a total clearance of the decks, which is apparently what everyone wants but I dread to think what this place would be like after 2 or 3 back to back seasons of Championship football.

It's a decent enough stat to wheel out with their (abeit weirdo) fans starting to moan tbf.

It's crazy that a club like them that haven't been in the league in a while have more headroom for spending that clubs that have been up and down for the last few years or who dropped out after ages like we did.

Why do people have this notion that somehow points at the start of the season are worth less than at the end of it. Apparently dropping points at the start of the season doesn't matter because "there's a long way to go". As an aside to this I think there are a huge number that actively want the club to fail in general. Like everyone knows how crap Rudkin is and how far we've fallen but the glee I see on here and Twitter when we concede and drop points is astounding.

It's worse than that, they've basically just ignored it. Any sample size they get to try and justify any action they take will basically be null and void if they're not listening to 3500 or so of the fanbase.
