He achieved a lot in his first season. He put together a young side that made it into the top 4. He had no transfer budget due to the transfer ban. He's managed Chelsea and that looks good on anyone's CV. BR shouldn't leave unless it's for a bigger club. His salary is too good here and he's achieved the FA cup and two top 5 finishes.
-
If BR has to go, then Klopp should have been sacked last season for Liverpool.

Klopp lost the way last year with Liverpool but they didn't sack him. Now they are reaping the rewards.

Chelsea away, Tues 18th May (For Ric Flair)

I agree with those that said Chelsea are a spent force since the loss to Arsenal. The team has been looking weaker recently. I think the Tuchel factor has gone. I also agree with those that send losing is psychologically more exhausting than winning. Of course it is. And that difference is massive. Two back to back defeats for Chelsea means they are really hurting. Three and they will drop out of the top 4. -

I believe we only need 1 more win to potentially open a 12 point gap and 4 games remaining. In other words, 1 more victory should be enough. -

Any streams? -
A better question could be would you bet Leicester to finish outside of the Top 4 this season? No, I would not.

Leicester Mercury Maddison's potential return is Sheffield United. Even Harvey Barnes could be back in April according to the forecasts. Of course, these are best case scenario. The source of the quotes in the article are Brendan Rogers -
Also, I don't believe there will be any great collapse this season. Our team has been through that already. I think this season it belongs to Klopp and Liverpool.
-
The only run of fixtures that look tough are the last 3 games. We should beat Sheffield United and then suddenly we have our confidence back. Any result against Man City is a plus. Then we have 5 to 6 games to really build some momentum going into those last 3 games. Spurs and Man Utd are underpowered this season so I see a top 4 finish as very plausible. Holding on to 2nd would be incredibly impressive.

James Maddison could be back for this game. Our creative engine. -
Liverpool if they keep losing (highly likely).
-
Vardy will break 30 goals this season. He is already 16 goals out of 16 matches. He will win the golden boot and people will start comparing him to the above.
-
I would say we are a Top 2 team!
-
I expect a 2-2 draw.
-
All the teams above are dropping points - Liverpool, Chelsea, Man City, Man Utd. While 4th looks impossible. I think 5 or 6th would be do-able if the Mahrez situation had not developed.
-
Liverpool dropped 3 points. IT BEGINS.
-
While an FA cup win would be nice and it would be great to see Leicester in the Community Shield, lol. European football will help Leicester keep attracting quality signings. Is league position more attractive than trophies? I'm not sure.
-
Everyone is assuming the teams above won't drop points. Look at their fixture lists and look at the amount of European games they have to play. They also have to play each other which will be tough on their squads. No one is taking account of a depleted squad in terms of energy, possible injuries or even the pressure of finishing in a certain position or a domestic cup. If Leicester are positive in their mentality anything can happen as long they believe in themselves. it was belief that won us the title 2 seasons ago. Puel is a credible and great manager. He has done a lot of miracles already including revitalising Mahrez, improving team communication and performances. Building a very strong, impressive back 4. At the beginning of the season, we did not have this at all and we looked vulnerable and defensively poor. Puel is the only key difference from when Shakespeare was in charge so he deserves all the credit along with the players that are receptive to him. Puel was the one that unleashed Demarai Gray and that speaks for itself. Almost instant returns with goals, assists and counter attacking football since he can run past anybody. Hope that helps people!!

Looking at the fixtures and our current form. Also the fact we kept Mahrez and the team is gelling better and better every week. I would say a high probability of finishing anywhere between 5th, 6th or 7th. 4th means beating Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham. Probability of 5th is much higher than 4th. Can we really say we are better than Arsenal right now? No but that doesn't mean we can't outperform them. I think impressively we've taken a Jose Mourinho approach and we start very strong at the back and this gives us much more confidence in our attacks. 4th would have been very likely or possible, even higher, if Puel had started the season as manager. Add all those points lost with Craig Shakespeare and who knows... All the points over the table are spread pretty evenly so that would suggest we could have even finished 2nd.

Fleetwood Town (A) 0-0 FA Cup 3rd Round
Area88 replied to urban.spaceman's topic in Leicester City Forum
The pitch was indeed narrow and it was in poor condition too. Good observation. -
The team needed a leader to settle the players. I would say fundamentally that was the missing link.

Slimani almost scored in the first 3 minutes of the game. He likes to be in the box from what I saw and most of the time when he was running at defenders he was completely isolated and perhaps because of this he gave up a little. I was frustrated with Slimani but I still saw some tremendous talent. He just struggles in the role of lone striker, he didn't really know what to do when holding the ball up. However let's also remember his unbelievably good goal the match before against Huddlesfield. Vardy was missed yesterday and he knew how to play against his former team mates and side. But then so was Mahrez. Everyone in the midfield looked nervous and the defence looked uncomfortable with the ball. Gray was the only one taking the ball and running with it. He even beat 2 or 3 players by himself to win a corner. He just needs to do it more often. He would also do well in a striker role.
