Was that expected? Haven’t really followed the build up and seems pretty stunning?

Some coaches ‘have it’, others don’t. I guess it’s a sense of confidence in their own ability and the way they conduct themselves. Enzo had it, Brendan had it (before he lost the plot), Nigel had it, Claudio etc. Watching the Tigers today, their new coach Cheika has it, Cooper doesn’t have it, and he isn’t finding it either. Get it done now as well only be coming back to this conversation week after week.

We were always capable of a good result under Puel. It’s completely incomparable.

Not the first time he’s fallen out with a manager though. Probably says a lot about him

We need more rest days, reminds me of the glory days of the 50’s -
You’d probably go back and try and work out how the hell he ended up in a position that he gets off to this stuff

Rebuild is an interesting thought in this case. I’d like to think we’ll never hear anything of him again for both positive and negative reasons. I get you, it’s certainly not an easy topic to debate and it’s also subjective. I don’t have kids so it probably triggers me a bit less? I don’t think that punishment for crimes should be abolished, I think a majority of cases that people could and should be rehabilitated but politically and as a society, we don’t seem ready to invest to take that step. When people have inflicted a horrific amount of suffering and harm on others, it is politically and morally better to keep them out of society, but where the cut off is there will differ to different people. Some people would lock a heroin addicted burglar up for life whereas others would give murderers a second chance.

One of the reasons why she’s not funny is sadly because the punchline is too slow (not her fault obviously), so you’ve already worked it out 20 seconds before she says it.

Yeah it’s teetering on paranoia and conspiracy.

He’ll be in the prem with West Brom next season while we’re heading to league one with a 15 point deduction.

Just going back to the Huw Edwards stuff, I don’t really see the point in jailing him. I think his sentence is reflective of the crime that he’s committed. If he had gone out and harmed a person, if he had created those images himself, if he had distributed them himself then fair enough, I would want a stronger punishment. However in this case you really have to dig deep and suggest what would justice actually be? Is Edwards a danger to children? I trust the judge in this case. I saw a video of Jim Davidson complaining about the sentence and it just struck me as completely mental, a bit like when the paedophile hunters eventually get turned out as paedophiles themselves. It’s a moral outrage thing. If we want a ‘throw away the key’ type of society then life will be miserable and we will suffer. If we want people to better themselves, to engage in psychological support and sort their mess out then society has to invest in them (not specifically Edwards, I find his litany of excuses in his defence counsel pretty pathetic and insulting tbh). My partner’s family had an interesting similar incident. They’re very much pro death penalty, throw away the key types. Then a couple of years ago, a family friend’s son was charged with rape and eventually convicted (so the evidence was clear), so when he I drunkenly suggested, does that mean that he should be killed by the state, they obviously went on the defensive. The point being acting on emotion in these cases is obviously a very bad thing.

People say daddy issues aren’t a thing, but Cooper’s dad was a PL ref and he hates referees. Makes you think really.

Headingley 81 on the cards here.

Anyone that concedes 5 goals to Celtic should be automatically eliminated. Highland league standard.

This fixture had Spurs loss written all over it

Depending on the ‘how’ and the scope, it could be a genuinely world changing event (in terms of cyber warfare). On the other hand Hesbollah could have been stupid and just bought loads of them from Israelis without knowing.

Yep, and you can’t have shares in more than one English club for obvious reasons. -
I thought Wilf was cooked last season yet he’s looked physically great and strong this season so the injury limitation thing is a red herring.

Potentially one of the worst events in English football history is this. Celebrity’s everywhere, it’s like a footballing version of the met gala 🤮🤮🤮 get this farce out of our beautiful game. -

That’s the problem with VAR. If the lino gets that wrong in real time, you might have a moan and feel frustrated but you accept it because he’s only human and it’s close. With the technology, and its inappropriate use, you’re taking that empathy out of it and it’s easy to start crying conspiracy or robbery. It’s terrible for the game and terrible for the officials. -
Swifties clearly took his tweet well.

West Brom sure seem to be flying. Should’ve taken the punt on Corberan.
