  1. How can you compare those who had no choice and were conscripted to fight in wars? And a billionaire who died in a helicopter crash? There’s a huge difference. Whether you like it or not, the helicopter crash will become less poignant for many. It will be remembered differently as time evolves.
  2. Ran in the Monsal trail half marathon with the old man today. We were going for a 2 hour time but he faceplanted a mile in and ran the continued run with a twisted ankle. Well proud of him. He’s in his 60s but a few years ago he did a half in 1 hour 36 minutes. Not bad for an old man with cancer.
  3. I think we will stay up with Cooper still and really don’t see the point in changing till the end of the season. I liked him after watching the q&a with him but it was difficult watching the forest fans sing his name. But I just don’t understand where this official fans line up is? Did Cooper get supporter’s to send in suggestions via fax or email? Cooper picked the team, the formation and the tactics, it’s on him. Then another portion of the blame for the defeat is with the players. Fundamentally, I’m not sure why people are taking such glee in saying ‘are you happy now’, in relation to a different lineup! We’ve just lost against Forest at home.
  4. The point is he chose the team. The fans don’t have one spokesperson and say this is the official team of Leicester city fans. Lots of people would have had different versions of the team that played today. For instance, I wouldn’t have had Fatawu starting because I’d be worried of a repeat against Cov. I’d have had Vestegaard starting(he isn’t injured, regardless of what cooper says), I’d have also not played Mavididi. That’s one person with a distinctive different line up to the one today, that people are stating is the official fan’s line up. Cooper picks the team, it’s on him when it goes well or badly.
  5. He chose the team.
  6. People should be reminded that regardless of what the fans want, Steve Cooper has picked this team.
  7. Wood is a good prem striker.
  8. Hopefully Cooper will allow Vestegaard off the naughty step for next week. He’s not injured, I wouldn’t listen to Cooper.
  9. Wasn’t only Justin but another key mistake from him.
  10. Of course it won’t be forgotten because 5 people died in a tragic accident but I am interested in how we remember it in the future, post King Power.
  11. Maybe in 20 years or so we won’t have such a significant remembrance for the helicopter crash. Maybe a note in the program(not that there will be programs in 20 years) or something similar. It will be interesting to see how it evolves post King Power. Maybe the remembrance garden could be rebranded to remember all lost Leicester supporters and the statue moved or fully removed.
  12. I don’t think it is, most likely 50/50.
  13. Read it at the end of 2021. Easy to understand the struggles of a 21st century public an, even without Covid! Also fun knowing who a lot of the people are!
  14. So is Leicester.
  15. Removal of marathon aspect, cancelled before because of weather (route is quite clearly problematic), the silly headphone rule. I don’t know why people bother with the Leicester half marathon.
  16. There’s always the Monsal Trail half in two weeks.
  17. Another thing that I find frustrating is those who call the city unsafe, less so on this forum but then don’t live in the city. I live in the city, work in the city, shop in the city and do everything else in Leicester. I don’t feel unsafe. But maybe those who visit from the county or further afield do.
  18. Leicester is as safe as any other City.
  19. England game only had Rice as a defensive midfielder or central midfielder. The suggested three would probably have 2 of Skipp, Winks and Ndidi behind it.
  20. Soumare coming on ahead of him was indicative of Cooper’s squad management.
  21. Yeah, be careful ordering crisps off the internet
  22. It’s great but hard work having a puppy again. He’s a good little fella though.
  23. Hermansen, Ricardo, Vestegaard, Okoli, Justin, Winks, Skipp, Fatawu, Buanotte, Mavididi, Vardy.
  24. I want to like Tonne but it always lacks atmosphere but good for a late night drink in midweek. Gadabout is a mess.
