  1. No because he wants to bring a DOF with him.
  2. It’s a good job pensioners are not more likely to need extra medical provision.
  3. Went to the Holy Tavern in Farringdon on Saturday pre Palace. Had a pint of Mayflower by Southwark Brewing. Worst pint I’ve ever had, tasted of cigarettes. I’ve had Mayflower a couple of years back at the salmon, I know it’s a good pint. Had a Palace Pale in a pub near the ground after, that was good for 3.50.
  4. Why can’t we do it for the club and the fans, rather than a previous owner?
  5. But within the context of the Championship, he was unnecessary.
  6. Not sure he’s twice the player of Winks. He’s had one bad game, was very good against Spurs and Fulham.
  7. I think Cooper could be gone a lot quicker than we think. If the players aren’t liking him, then this is what normally influences the ownership. With Rodgers, the players were still clearly quite behind him, as evidenced by their interviews since his departure.
  8. In all honesty, the most concerning thing is that in each game, we should have done better than the result we got. Whether that was turning a loss into a point, or a point into a win, Cooper hasn’t been able to make the game his.
  9. Him and Vestergaard would be great together.
  10. I really like him.
  11. The Union FS TIFO was the highlight of the game to me, seeing as King Power ruined the trophy lift.
  12. I did the 100 club at a Black Country Ales pub in my student days, there are no excuses.
  13. We ain’t sunk that low.
  14. Worst pint was in 2018- Chelsea away, 0-0, at this proper pub over Putney Bridge. Think it might have been the Eight Bells but not like it is now.I only drank lager really then and it was the first lager he’d poured in a few weeks.
  15. The best crawl is starting from the castle, Rutland and Derby, two tailed lion and finally the Blue Boar. Ale Wagon I would argue is unique and Real Ale Classroom is a moderately good addition to the city. We do okay for pubs but my biggest issue is the number of drinkers we have. I do my best to up the numbers.
  16. Most cities bar the obvious few are seeing similar trends. Market Towns are where to be, unfortunately.
  17. About a year ago, I had some decent enough kept pints(from cask). However, had a half before getting the train recently and it was eggy crap. I want to support the pub and am especially keen to support diverse landlords because this may be a way of maintaining an already struggling pub stock.
  18. Little Tokyo has gone downhill. Won’t go in the Black Horse now for reasons that are obvious within this thread.
  19. Not sure about the Hind but I hope so. Also overheard in a pub over the weekend that there’s interest in the old Brewdog premises. Charles Napier is technically my local, maybe a Stonegate job is what is best for it. But I hope they don’t touch the original bar. Was reminded over the weekend by a mate about the disgrace of a refurbishment at the Salmon.
  20. Anywhere in the city(not county) that stock Mill Hill cans? Need them for a present.
  21. Definitely agree at the moment. But if the smoking ban comes into place, I’d like some allowance regarding vapers being allowed to vape in those newly banned places, still. It may move more people off the cigarettes.
  22. I’d you’re in Horsforth, worth checking out the local museum. Someone has written a biography about my Grandpa(born in Horsforth in 1915), and put it there. He was mates with George Orwell and a few others.
  23. Couple at the beer festival at St Anne’s hall in Western Park. Yes, they realised the local celebrity had arrived but we’re all boring bastards round here.
  24. Podcast!
  25. It’s an Alan Partridge quote…
