Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
westernpark replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Wolves Sporting director offering some nice but honest quotes to the press, regarding player sales, future of Gary O’Neill and similar issues. Would be nice to even get this sort of nonsensical talk from someone above Maresca. -
Sporting Lisbon will own us. Sagres in the concourse
-
On a different note, heritage panel gone up on Evesham Road(I think) in Leicester, to commemorate the coining of the word Veganism in the city.
-
Subtle red flags, clap for Thailand monarchy, marching round the pitch after we’d won the league with a portrait of the King of Thailand. Gold being incorporated into the home strip. And weirdly we could have had much worse ownership. - A statement that is indicative of the state of English football.

The move out of the city with leaving Belvoir Drive, was an absolutely massive step that should have had more attention. Albeit, the eventual move to Seagrave was made during the Covid but that is the heart of the club, the training ground. All we’ve done with the move, is effectively boost Nottingham’s economy, for making it geographically convenient for young millionaires to move to their city.

Fundamentally, Leicester city were bought by the company King Power, to improve their business profile and the family’s(or company depending on semantics inclined) own self-esteem or prowess. When the club hits difficult times, they won’t then explain to the supporters why, because they don’t see us as important in their goals set out in the first sentence. For me, donations to hospital, Cathedral renovation etc, I don’t see them as engagement with local community, strictly done for business reasons. I am so worried about the financial management of this club, that I see it as an existential threat to Leicester City.

Time for Faes to go on the bench, I want Coady and Vestegaard to start now.
-
I reckon you’d like the Barley Mow in Leicester too.
-
What is obvious, is that we shouldn’t have sanctioned the Coady deal until we’d sold Souttar.

Are we bottlers and do we have a weak mentality?
westernpark replied to Sly's topic in Leicester City Forum
King Power had the directive after Shakespeare, to hire managers who prefer a style of passing rather than pragmatism. This is what I equate to having a weaker mentality, players are trained in one style of play, it’s only logical that they appear to be bottlers because we don’t have a plan B. For nearly 7 years now we have not gone out to explicitly win a game, instead we attempt to play our style regardless of the opponent or the variables that occur on the pitch. -
In my head when I got into the stadium and saw the QPR end, my initial thought was this must be the biggest day in their history. Quickly realised it was incredibly arrogant and probably indicative of our atmosphere.
-
No, hence my concern!

QPR home pre-match thread, 3pm Saturday.

Has Dunne been playing right-back for QPR? Would hope Mavididi can have a bit of space if that’s the case, as I always thought he was a centre-half. Think we’ll win 4-2, like we did when we last played Dunne at the King Power, beating Burnley and Praet scoring. -
How is Jorrit Hendrix playing for Western Sydney Wanderers?

There was one off the lead this morning on western park, I feel like people are still taking risks with them.

Still far too many XL bully dogs in the public domain.
-
If they own the swan and rushes, the Broadway should be instantly boycotted.
-
Except for its economic benefits to Leicester. The film is ridiculous though.
