The results and league table are one thing, but to consistently get dominated by bang average teams at this level, is a new low.

Fck sake Soumare starts.... For Sheff United
-
You could be right with that. Maybe since the league win and fa cup win, some have seen the very best and know we won't likely see it again so have become less bothered/interested.
-
If that is the case, then how can these people declare themselves "true fans"? Again, just my opinion, but a true fan is more than turning up to "back the lads" or have a catch up with mates. A true fan wants the very best for the club and cares about the long term sustainability of the club.
-
True but as I keep saying, im yet for any Top supporters to give me any good reasons why they still support him? What do they see that gives them confidence that he can sort the club out? I'm willing to listen to other point of views if there is rational to back up their opinions

The way I see it for an owner of a football club is they have to do 1 of 2 things. 1. They are a hands on owner who oversees the running of the club and holds people accountable at every level (recruitment team, manager, finance team etc). 2. They take a step back from the day to day running of the club but hire competent people at every level of the club to ensure the club is as successful in every area as it can be. Top has done neither of these things. He's an absent owner, which would be absolutely fine if he'd taken option 2 and actually hired competent people to run the club for him. It's been 7 years since his Dad passed. How hes not got a handle on the club by this point is sheer negligence and that's just not going to change which is why I can't understand for the life of me why the majority of our fanbase still back him.
-
Yep. The majority are happy for Top and his board to stay forever.
-
Spot on. The people that are branded "not real fans" are the ones that keep themselves informed and are aware of the trajectory the club is on. Many of our fanbase just turn up to the stadium to "back the lads" and have absolutely no idea or even a slight interest into what's going on in and around the club. This is the argument I don't understand. These people claim to be "real fans" but surely a real fan shows an interest in the club that goes more in depth than a 90 minute football match once or twice a week.
-
Just a quick scroll through Facebook shows that the people wanting change and calling for this boycott are sadly in the minority. So sad that Top and his board can actively destroy the club without any kind of challenge from large sections of our fanbase. I really don't understand it. I keep seeing comments like "the people wanting a boycott have no brain cells". Incredible irony.

Wonder if Chelsea will move quickly for Glasner. Him or Iraola would be the obvious choices.
-
I think he'll go elsewhere and do well. His only downfall is how stubborn he is and unwillingness to change things slightly, even when things aren't working.
-
I prefer Barce to Real to be fair
-
Yep shows how far we've fallen. There was a time where nobody outside the big 6 could touch our top players but now we'll sell to anyone just to get some money to pay the bills!
-
Yeh realised that after I posted. Still doesn't mean we should accept the shit show that he has and continues to oversee
-
Well people can use them but there are counter arguments for all of them. Be careful what you wish for? Well I certainly don't wish my club to be in the disgusting state it currently is. We won the league and the fa Cup? These will never be forgotten but we had a different owner then that sadly died and the success doesn't give his son a free pass to destroy the club. We were in league one once? And we will be again very soon and possibly even worse with Top in charge. But im still waiting for any genuine good reasons why anyone thinks Top is the right person to continue running the club. Edit:realised after I posted that Top was in charge when we won the fa Cup but I still don't see how this gives him a free pass. Even if we go down the argument that KP have been our best ever owners with the success we've had, that doesn't mean we should now accept them being one of the worst owners we've ever had with the way they are destroying the club. Shilton was one of our greatest ever keepers but that doesn't mean I want him playing now.

Wrong thread. If you want Antonio news, head over to the King Power out thread.
-
Fair, I may consider it when one of them actually comes up with a valid opinion on why they think Top and his board are the right people to carry on running the club. "Be careful what you wish for" " we won the league and fa cup" "We were in league one once" are not valid opinions on why we should be happy for Top and his board to continue but if anyone else has any valid points for me to consider, then im all ears.
-
I suppose it works both ways. Members of Union Fs have been getting attacked because they have dared call out Top and KP. Don't pretend the toxic atmosphere is only created by the people who want Top gone, the brainwashed seals are a huge part of the problem.

I find it absolutely wild how many of our 'fans' still support KP and Top. Anyone who still does is not a Leicester City fan, they are a fan of Top and/or KP. How can they not understand that by supporting Top/KP, they are complicit in the clubs downfall. They talk about the success we've had, and where we were before and "be careful what you wish for" etc. It's clear to see that club is skint and we are probably not far away from being in administration. It's not about success or what league we are in, or whether we win, lose or draw, or whether our players are good or not, none of that matters. What matters is that in 6 months, 12 months, 10 years etc, we actually have a club to support. Top/Kp and the board are destroying the club and have neither the money or the know how to begin to fix it. Ignore the relegations, the poor playing squad, the league table, all irrelevant, look at the staff not being paid before christmas, look at the stewards not getting their tea, look at constant battles with the efl/pl over spending rules, look at upcoming points deductions, look at poor decision making at every level of the club, look at the dreadful culture around the club, look at the way the fans have been and continue to be treat so appallingly, look at the lack of communication from the club, look at the relationship between fans and the club been the worst its ever been in the clubs history. Does any of these things make it look like the club has been and is being well run? Do any of these things put any kind of confidence into the long term future of the club? We are well and truly cooked under this owner, and because we had success under his late father, many of our 'fans' are too blind to see the mess we are in, and will ultimately have been a part of the destruction of the club.
-
At this point, im convinced the whole of the championship is just a parody and not a serious football league at all. Toss up what's worse, PL corruption or the sheer amateur standards being seen by so many EFL clubs, ours being the biggest culprit.
-
Are we getting a new owner and board? I get your point about the youth and it literally is the only positive thing about the club right now, but things are not going to be turned round at the club whilst Top and his board remain in charge. And the PSR troubles won't be going away either. I honestly think we'll be in administration before the end of the season. A win is a win, as you say, but all it does is paper over the cracks.
-
We haven't got a pot to piss in, so the only reason id see us stumping up £4m (which is nothing I know) is to sign him to sell him for a profit straight away. Can see it now. Sign him for £4m, sell him for £8m but Rennes have a 50% sell on clause. Rudkin logic.
-
Id rather he did ok so we don't have any excuses for when we lose other than us being a complete shambles.

I mean anything would be better than Top, unless you ask the "be careful what you wish for" brigade.
