You've hit the nail on the head here. We know the players are very limited and most aren't PL standard but in that situation you need a manager that can adapt tactics to get the best out of the limited players we have. I honestly think we could have a chance of staying up if we had someone like Dyche who would just get us doing the basics right. It would be horrible to watch but it could keep us up. I don't have anything against RVN and I do feel sorry for him in many ways but he's clearly not the right man for us right now.

Is relegation a price worth paying for avoiding a PSR breach?
jayfox26 replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Can fully understand why they would think this after they watched us put in such a strong performance against Everton -
Can't be any worse that's for sure. Feel we've also missed Ndidi as even though its glaringly obvious our defenders aren't good enough, they get zero protection from Winks and Soumare.
-
We aren't toxic enough and we certainly aren't entitled, which is why it's very difficult to force any change at the club. Genuinely hate this narrative. One thing as a fan base we are, is divided and this is because of our board and our owner.

27th October 2018, West Ham at home was sadly the day the club started to spiral. Of course we won the fa cup and community shield since then but it's clear to see that things have never been the same at the club since this day. Poor Vichai will be spinning in his grave looking down at the way the club is being destroyed.

This isn't just about whether we are in the prem or the championship, this is about how the people that run our club have well and truly taken the piss out of the fans. There is a complete disconnect between the club and the fans that I've never seen before in my 30 years supporting LCFC. We've had good times, we've had bad times but never have the fans felt so let down by the club than we do right now. And the worst part about it is that some of our fan base are still on board with the absolute shambolic running of the club. Some still applaud after we get humiliated at Goodison Park. Some still believe we have "the best owners in the country". And these are the people that KPFC want "supporting" the club. The people that will still applaud no matter how pathetic we are as a club and would never dare question or say anything bad about the owners or the board. I feel sorry for these people as they genuinely believe they are "supporting" the club and are totally oblivious to the fact they are complicit in destroying the club.

I agree with most of what you said apart from the bit about another laughing stock season in the prem. We go down this season, we ain't coming back. We got fortunate last season as we hired Maresca, but generally clubs as poorly run as ours won't keep getting back up. The championship has some really good sides and as crap as Ipswich and Southampton have been this season, wouldn't surprise me if they were stronger than us next season.

Maybe somewhere else but doesn't matter who the manager is here, things won't change with him. He's been wanting to leave for 18 months
-
He has the worst attitude though and clearly doesn't want to be here, so that actually does make him our worst defender
-
It's a very odd signing given the finances involved and the fact he's been bombed out of Man U for his attitude and for being poor in training. Why do Villa all of a sudden think he'll rock up there and start giving 100% and actually attempt to be a pro footballer. I'm all for teams having ambition and trying to upset the big 6 but Villa have taken the piss with the money they've spent and continue to spend. I suppose the £65m for Duran will help but that wage bill isn't sustainable

Everton 4-0 LCFC, post match thread

It's a sad mess we are in. It does tend to be the older fans that fall into this category. Alot of them feel like they are superior as they've "supported" the club for 40-50 years. I've heard stuff like "bet you don't remember the Pleat years" "we've been in worse positions" "we were in league 1 once" etc etc. It's almost as if they don't care what league we are in. Club could be in the national league getting slapped by York, and they'd still be happy with Top and Rudkin. Bring out the free beer and donuts. "Best owners ever". Genuinely makes me sick. -
As others have said, I can accept that some of our players do care and are trying but just aren't good enough. This guy doesn't care, isn't trying and isn't good enough. Ruud should have done what Amorim has done with Rashford and just completely banished him. Yes we don't have many options at cb but his attitude is absolutely stinking and not what you need when you're in trouble. If we got offered £5m for him tomorrow I'd be 100% accepting it and getting him out the squad. There are loads of centre backs across europe we could loan in that would at the very least have a better attitude than this nob head!

There's literally a video of people clapping yesterday

Absolute state of that. People like this think they are supporting the club when they are actually helping towards the clubs downfall. -
The happy clappers are probably the worst part of this club. Anyone who clapped at Goodison yesterday should be given a lifetime ban from all footballing activities! That shit should be illegal!

Good. Probably more chance of showing how pissed off we are at away games as there will be less happy clappers than at the home games. -

What was the atmosphere like amongst our lot at ft? Standing ovation whilst the players do a lap of honour? -
100% mate, a good friend of mine is a big Wednesday fan so I know all about Rohl and Chansiri. Perfect example of what can be achieved by a competent coach in tough circumstances
-
Got to go. I'm fully aware that the people above and below him are totally incompetent but if we are going down, I want a manager to take us down fighting, not taking us down where we've given up and aren't even trying. The players might be shite but so are Evertons, so are Ipswich's and so are wolves. A half decent manager that can use tactics to suit the shite players we have would be able to pick up some results

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
jayfox26 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Yes but their team is still absolutely shite. They have zero attacking threat yet have scored 3 goals. Would Everton be 3-0 up here if the 2 managers were in opposite dug outs?
