People criticise and are negative as a reaction to what they have witnessed over many years regarding the mismanagement of the club on and off the pitch. They do so because they are supporters, because they still care about what has and is happening and because they still hope for a fundamental change in leadership that is required to halt the decline. The guardians of the club have been negligent, reckless, unwilling to demonstrate accountability and given the impression of a don't care attitude that permeates throughout LCFC at present. Poor signings and performances are always going to be called out by supporters as is poor leadership and management. Opinions on that are subjective and the way it is done is variable - by way of example my own view is that comments about Luke Thomas's alleged lifestyle are inappropriate unless the behaviours affect his play or attitude. Nonetheless, criticism and also praise are products of being a supporter. We rightly praise the leadership, management and players when things go well. I don't see why we shouldn't call it as it is when we are in such a mess. Being a supporter isn't about just continuing to accept the inadequate, the inexcusable and the unprofessional. It's when people can't be bothered to take an interest any longer that we should really be worried and for many of us, despite having supported our team for virtually all our lives, that is not too far round the corner.
