Don’t like his antics but I thought he improved us when he came on. We are down to the bare bones and avoiding relegation is the imperative in our position, particularly as we will lose PL parachute payments for next season if relegated which would be disastrous. He should be considered for selection on playing/performance merit/general attitude until the end of the season. If he improves us in matches and shows the right approach until the end of the season then we should select him. His motive may be to put himself in the shop window for a new club or simply to avoid having relegation to League One on his CV but it’s all about maximising our chances to stay up now and I believe we are more likely to do that with an engaged and performing Winks as opposed to fielding a midfield that includes Hamza. Obviously once JJ and Skipp return it may result in Winks being on the bench but selection should be based on present merit and performance rather than previous fall outs. I want a return to Pearson level standards but would prefer the rebuild to be from this division supported by the PL parachute money rather than from League One on an even more restricted budget.
