My guess, and it is only a guess, is that no one is genuinely leading the Club. Top of course is the chairman, but one senses he has lost some interest and focus, but is still all powerful, and all the senior employees dare not act without his approval. But if he is somewhat removed from the business due to waning interest, that creates a vacuum. Thus we're existing, but we're drifting. You do tend to see this in various organisations. Everything derives from leadership. If that leadership is engaged, proactive and clear what it wants to achieve your chances of success increase. The opposite also applies. That's just my rather pessimistic take on where we're at, not based on any kind of inside knowledge whatsoever.

I can't imagine it will be arranged for 8 or 9 days on from today, which is what you are suggesting there -
the result aside, how did you grandson find the whole experience? Would he like to go again?

Why? They've been playing football well since we were in the Championship the last time. They are such a well run Club, and I find it refreshing that smaller clubs can survive and thrive in the Prem.

I'd rest the three players I believe are critical ones for us, namely Winks, KDH and Ricky P, but other than that, pretty much everyone else should be considered.

Kinda surprised to hear you link the Daily Mail with the 'woke feminist brigade' -

I'm in conversation with one of you in the hope we can arrange delivery. Lots of you replied - if this conversation fails I will contact the next person who messaged me - if I don't contact you I've managed to pass the tickets on. -
Coventry Away (13th January Saturday 3pm KO)

I have two tickets for tomorrow that I cannot use due to a change in personal circumstances. The only problem is I live in Harpenden, Hertfordshire. If there is anyone who wants to go, and can collect the tickets from me this evening, I'd be very happy to pass them on -
My Sensi is this might happen. Or not.

of course. Thought less left early last night to be fair. And frankly it's more understandable on a cold midweek game. Saturday was weird though.

Aus Fox wins the money. Missed the train, so drove up. Nearly gave up at Toddington services as traffic looked horrendous, but couldn't resist it. Parked up on Narborough Road at 7.45. Jogged to the ground to see a message that we were one down. Felt really pleased with myself. Not. Anyway, got to my seat just before 8pm. Enjoyed the game, the goals, and the atmosphere. Four lane closures on the M1 south back home, which is reasonably typical for a midweek evening. Got home around midnight. But when you've got three more points in the car with you, well, the whole world smiles with you.

I'm in trouble tonight. Got a meeting in Bucks ending around 5.15. Mad dash around the M25 to get to Luton Airport Parkway for 6.15 train. If all goes well I get there on time. If not, I may well not make it until close to half time, then have to leave early to get the 10.15 train back down. So I might have a highly truncated visit to the game this evening. I'll be the middle aged bloke in a blue hat. Should be easy to spot. Where do I place my bet?

Went to Leverkusen v Freiburg last Sunday at the Bay Arena, which is a beautiful stadium holding just over 30,000. Awesome support from both sets of fans through the whole game. Whilst away fans have their own section, many were in the home areas, and could celebrate their goal without any alarm. You can drink at your seat, even have a smoke on the concourse (not my thing but I don't object to those who want to). Similar vibe watching Bayern vs Bremen this time last year. I'm sure Germany has its hooligans, but from what I have observed they have better atmospheres, but without the pathetic tribal aggression endemic to football in our country. The drummers in front of the loudest area of Leverkusen fans are superb, and I love a bit of crowd orchestration from a supporter with a megaphone. English fans seem happier shouting 'wxxnker, wxxnker' at opposition fans about 80 metres away.

I guess that was aspirational. Remember back in the dark days of the 1980s LCFC frequently only attracted around 10,000 even in the top flight. And when I was a kid I'm pretty sure a 6,000 crowd was commonplace at LCCC for Sunday League games. Times change. But yes, it's one heck of an ask -
I'm on a little European tour at the moment. Watched Viktoria Cologne entertain 1864 München today. Viktoria won 2-1 after München had two players sent off. This is the third tier of German football. München bought about 1500 fans. Bearing in mind Munich is about 350 miles from Cologne. They sang the entire game, even after they conceded goals and got red cards. Viktoria got the winner in injury time. Still the München fans sang. Just an extraordinary level of commitment and support. The home fans were rubbish, as was most of the football Off to see Leverkusen tomorrow. Watched Vitesse Arnhem at home to Zwolle last night in the Dutch first division (Eredivisie). Arnhem fans were pretty good to be fair. 1-1 draw. Standard of team akin to lower reaches of the Championship at best.

Yep, crowd have to put out the boundary rope and markers, roll the wicket and make the teas. Someone will need to be scorer, and we will need to provide an umpire to do square leg at both ends because there's only one league umps. -

£10 to join so I'm going to do just that. When I tried to create an online membership I received an error message saying 'Error! Nonce Security Check Failed!' I am relieved to see that in this context nonce is some tech thing. Nevertheless, not the best start to my relationship with @Foxes_Trust! -
I'm no fan of American football, or indeed of America, but this looks like fun. No fancam or t-shirt cannons. Just noise and intense atmosphere

Agreed. Really hope Sol B follows in his footsteps. I feel he has the potential, perhaps not the belief and mindset just yet. -

Fair enough @Voll Blau. I absolutely do not want to appear like a downer when we're enjoying a great tournament. I loved seeing Sol get his hundred yesterday, as I think he has a ceiling as high as Rishi's. I think I've been so downhearted by performances and mismanagement at LCCC over the last decade that I am in danger of struggling to seeing positives. The Hundred (and I know loads of you loathe it, I have to say I see the upside as I just like cricket, and I'm not as tribal about cricket as I am football) has meant we've had more of a chance in this tournament. I guess what I'm saying is it's simply made other Counties weaker, which has levelled the playing field for us. At the end of the day, up the Foxes
