  1. At least the pending installation of his recommended club restructuring will see us good for the future
  2. Come on fixture computer......you know what to do!
  3. "Dear Tifo's R Us, I need to cancel my order for WE'D GO TO THE ENZO THE EARTH FOR YOU and Baldy beardy chap picture.........already printed you say? Bill F*****g Chelsea then". Sorted. Move on.
  4. Wilf doesn't look too happy about it bless him
  5. Is Kristiansen a possibility, I see he has 6 caps, not sure how much competition he has for places though?
  6. It's not ideal, it was always going to be a tough and uniquely challenging season approaching, any diversion on our preparation is unwanted. Positively we do have PL status, PL income, some big wages are now off the books, we have a very good young keeper (well 2 by the looks of it), hopefully Fatawu and possibly still K DH and Winks to build a team around. Just need to find a dozen players and a manager who don't mind starting on minus points and will accept moderate wages and an uncertain future
  7. I've lost track of other clubs situations a bit but is anyone else likely to be starting on minus points, were Everton, Forest maybe Bournemouth set to be charged / charged again? Presume Forest are safe as they sold Johnson and didn't go quite as mad as previous summer? It's based on the rolling 3 year situation isn't it, basically we need to get beyond the anniversary of the Daka / Soumare / Vestergaard buys with no sales summer although wages every year were a problem too so even the 3 year period after that will still be too close to the wire? Secondly, entirely theoretically, if a club was relegated outright as a punishment how would that affect relegation and promotion places? Lastly how and when can people make a stand and say fine, we've done wrong, punish us but tell us when oh when are you calling Man City and Chelsea to account. If it's not this season then any points they gain against us are gained through unfair advantage (and vastly superior football of course but go along with it for arguments sake). They're under investigation but not charged yet every match day that passes they continue to accrue points, progress, trophies, that are the result of fielding a squad of players they can't under the rules afford to have (even if in Man Citys case the offences are historic with few of the players still around, they gained an advantage in their status, growth, infrastructure, achievement, prize money, opportunities etc that they still benefit from today). Which is what some clubs will have been saying about us this season no doubt. The difference is in circumstances though, you can't force players off your wage bill but the better they are the more chance there is of a club coming in for them. In 2022/23 we had a group of players on big wages hanging round the training ground with the manager having no intention of involving them in matches, higher up the chain there would be demand for your outcasts so long as the relative wage structure doesn't put off approaches. An example being, with all due respect we could have got through this season without Praet, Souttar and Ward but you can't force it to happen.
  8. De Zerbi will have impressed our decision makers with the way his Brighton side played against us and others in 22/23 season. Don’t know what happened this season, maybe the European games leaving them less time preparing for league games but have gone luke-warm or maybe just been sussed out? Similarly Potter but as others say there seems to be a merry go round cranking up with Man Utd and possibly England roles becoming available soon. Moyes may not seem a riveting or long term choice but even if we start on say -4 points I could still see him keeping us up. Would have taken Robins this time last season but it’s deeper waters this time, needing him to hit the ground running at a higher level but there’s certainly some scope and potential there. P-ing off Chaventry fans would be a welcome bonus but in our current situation doesn’t rank as a priority however funny it would be I’d say:- Potter De Zerbi Moyes Robins * but all trumped if Cambiasso applies.
  9. My only concern either way is it affecting our preparation for the new season, players deciding whether to re-sign, will a new manager keep our system and style, if not does this bring other players into contention (for example have we scouted any attacking full-backs in the last 12 months), how long will it take to bring in a replacement and discuss player targets with him? Yes it’s early which is good but still could put us weeks behind others. Before Rubbing our hands at the compensation fee might we need some of it if we go out and bloody some other clubs nose and take an active in work manager? Not all of it of course but a chunk might be needed for that. Not our problem, I’m just curious, but if he plays his system with Chelsea do James, Chilbell and Cucurella have a future there, does James do the Ricardo role? He can be a 3rd CB but then the LB would need to become the tucked in midfielder? Then which of Fernandez and Caicedo miss out? Or does Caicedo fulfill the Wilf role?Just feels like an ill fitting u-turn when they have a squad on long contracts. Good . Oh and he walks if just one single person there isn’t 100% behind his philosophy?
  10. To anyone who’s saying Leeds have a better midfield than Southampton I have a small bone to pick
  11. “Have Chelsea made a formal approach to speak to Enzo?” Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. It’s Chelsea! Players from other clubs with years left on their contract get wined and dined by them after calling in to their clubs sick, it’s what they do. They’ve de-stabilised us before by letting players know they’re wanted, Chilwell’s self protection cost us Europe, Drinky and Wes left gaping holes too late in the day and were going to be effectively on strike if we refused to sell. Only Kante with his regrettable clause was done early in a way that was least painful for us i.e. it was expected. At least this is coming in May not August but don’t expect formality from that cess pit.
  12. Dancer off of Strictly ?
  13. Headed for motorway bridge with a sign but Vardy and daughter already there with megaphone, boom box and Kaiser Chiefs album
  14. I wonder if they were thinking of David Seaman? David Batty?
  15. I’ve just heard that Archie Gray’s Dad and Uncle played for Leeds too. You’d have thought someone would mention it in commentary
  16. Yorkshire Bitters, bottled in London
  17. But hey their fans can revel in owning a t-shirt depicting a goal scored against us….in a league game…….in a season that came to nothing….. soon to be hundreds listed on eBay for 49p.
  18. “best team in the league” trophy on its way to Leeds as soon as I can find some tin foil and crayons
  19. Congrats Southampton, some steady Eddies and wise heads vs a bunch who are fit as f*** and try to do things at 300 mph hoping some of them fall their way. The likes of Downes and Smallbone bring you composure, quality and sensibility. The Leeds mob were like puppies chasing tennis balls round a park.
  20. I predict they’re crying Souvenir T-shirts to be printed by Leeds showing best half chance of game
  21. ……and breathe out
  22. Adams looks leggy, he’s put in a tough 18 minutes to be fair
  23. Pint for crossbar
  24. Aribo didn’t chews the right option there
