I think Vestergaard deserves more respect after the season he's just put in for us. He's never been dogshite. We had a dogshite manager who made him play in a system that exposed him, followed by a manager that used him properly.

The negative overreaction in here is ridiculous. Vesty was a fantastic key player for us last season. His stand out game was against Prem opponents Bournemouth too.

This forum is completely nuts. Many vociferously disliked Maresca when we were pissing the league and then after he won us the league on 97 pts. The next guy will get the same. Cooper sounds like a good guy who actively wants the job and has a good track record.

Exactly this. I strongly believe that we need to give Alves, Braybrooke & Nelson first team football next season. Get the finances on an even keel and give these lads the chance to shine. There’s no reason they can’t. Bellingham has been given the chance from a young age. It’s timid thinking to send them out on loan.

There was a good article I read this week about a ‘culture war’ happening in football. On one side it’s the control freakery ‘tippy tappy’ influenced by Pep. The article was centred on Real Madrid and how they just play pragmatic football with brilliance. They don’t have an identifiable philosophy. They just find a way to win. I found it an interesting counterbalance to the ‘Pep is changing the game’ discourse. It also helped me be less tribal in my own views and have a greater understanding of those on this forum that didn’t like Maresca’s style.

I’ve been a massive supporter of him and his philosophy at our club. Now he’s with an enemy of the game as far as I’m concerned. I hope it blows up in his inexperienced face. I hate the way Chelsea operate and the detrimental they’ve had on our league.

Just when are we going to put this to bed? You can play a possession based game AND counter attack when you win the ball back when not in possession. We did this under Maresca.

It’s the direction of travel I don’t like. I started off with two memberships in my name. I bought two tickets per match and, as I live in London, used my second ticket to catch up with old Leicester based mates at the match. Sometimes, the old mate I was going with would arranged at short notice - usually a Leicester fan with no buying history at the club. I then got two season tickets in my name, so could take whoever I wanted. Under Covid I was made to transfer my second season ticket to another person for track and trace reasons. I transferred it to a family member. Now we have two physical cards between us. If one person can’t make it the other takes a family member of friend. I don’t want the hassle of registering people with the club. I want to take who I want unencumbered by ‘red tape’ - just the same if I had bought two tickets to a gig or to the theatre. The club are just getting too involved in my day to day life. They need to trust us more. Fans have been self managing for decades and it works for us. They need to get out the way. The concerns about touts and anti-social behaviour are BS. Their figures on this, I suspect, come away games and the Forest game in particular.

Mourinho is toxic and would be terrible at integrating academy players. Don’t want him anywhere near our club.

This is why the Rich 6 and The Prem absolutely suck! Look how much disruption this is causing us. All our first team coaches going too. Really pisses me off.

I imagine Vesty will be seriously considering not signing with us until he’s had chance to speak with the new manager. He was truly excellent for us last season, but played in a different system reverts back to be being a liability.

Maresca owes us nothing. Headlines were made about how negative the fans were towards him. I found that pretty embarrassing considering our meteoric start and where we ended up.

Yeah. Deflated by Enzo leaving. Deflated by one of the rich six - a small group we were hoping to disrupt very recently - effectively knee capping us on our arrival back in the Prem. Deflated by the corporate shit show the EPL now is (worse than ever). Really deflated by those in our fanbase thinking we’re now somehow better off for all this. I’m quite close to redirecting my time and resources completely elsewhere.

Obligation to buy, no? That’ll be with the club. Not Maresca.

One worry for me now is that Enzo rated these lads, especially Alves as we saw with the bus top parade. Who's to say the new manager will be looking to integrate academy lads or not? We knew Enzo was looking to.

This sentiment is boring from a minority of our fans.
