At work… a way to watch on iPhone would be ideal if anyone can help out.

Went to the Leeds game last night. Genuinely terrible game all round. Leeds had it sewn up early doors and Norwich offered nothing bar one sitter, which they missed. £45 a ticket, madness.

Leicester 1-1 Ipswich Post Match Thread
Leeds Fox replied to Muzzy_no7's topic in Leicester City Forum
We were going forward at about 85mins and someone (I assume from our bench, maybe Willy?) screamed ‘keep the ball’. It’s not necessarily bad way to play, but surely you have to advance when in promising positions. -
This isn’t aimed at you solely, but it’s relevant to your post. We had far from a settled start, wholesale changes in players and management, similarly Southampton. Many fans see their own clubs troubles and don’t see that others were in a similar position. We got through it and granted, did have a bit more time to settle, a few good results and it just rolled on from there. AFCON could be our version of your rocky start, but we won’t be the only ones hit by it, so it is what it is. I think you’ll be well up there come the end of the season, wouldn’t mind you finishing 2nd… behind us of course.

Teams get at you and they often get an early goal (or create chances at least). Your quality does shine through and you take them apart after their hustle and bustle wears thin. For what it’s worth, the ones who sit deep get more joy overall. Your tactics probably bring the bite out in opponents too. Either way, it was an opinion… you do have a decent defensive record (just read it’s less than a goal per game), which I’m surprised at. I watch nearly every Leeds game, I’m actually going on Weds just seems as if you concede more than you do. Probably because, this season especially, I love seeing you concede not because I hate Leeds. I just get a lot of stick from the blokes I watch the games with.
-
The energy from both sides here in the first 15 mins is unreal. I hate that they say it, but teams really do step it up against Leeds. Probably because they know they’re fragile (not because it’s Leeds Utd as their fans like to think).
-
Leeds games chaos. Must’ve been 1-1 within 10 mins at least 3 or 4 times this season.

Even if we’ve sent him back with the thought of bringing someone in on a permanent basis, there’ll have been talks to manage the situation. Chelsea won’t want to put out that we’ve returned him, when they likely want to make money from a sale. We won’t want to cut ties with Chelsea by saying it was our choice… hence they’ve ’recalled him’. Obviously this is conjecture, but it could have some credence.

Why is she in a 1970s Fish and Chip shop?

I walk around a fairly large ‘warehouse’ for my job, a lot. 95% of people there are just stood in the same spot for hours on end (poor souls). I must get my phone out of my pocket dozens of times a day to avoid eye contact and saying ‘alright’. Some familiar faces I’ll say hi to, but often I’ll even swerve down a different walkway to avoid people. I’m by and large a sociable person, but I just hate the common courtesy of speaking to people I don’t know or really have any reason to speak to other than the fact I’ve walked within a couple of metres of them. I’d have no voice left if I did. Also usually rushing to get somewhere. The situation is there’s an us/them dynamic so I’ll try and smile or nod every now and again out of principle

I know cold/flu virus’ always seem to go around, especially over the winter months… but this winter seems to have been particularly bad. Is that just me thinking it or is it a common theme across the board? Since the weeks leading upto Christmas up until now, I know loads of people who’ve had a virus. Seems to have been a bit more potent than the common cold too. Whether that’s the symptoms of a cold worsening due to lowering our immune systems during Covid (and afterwards with increased sanitising of hands etc) or we’ve just not being able to stave off influenza as effectively due to similar factors. Any ideas? I’m sure there’s people on here with a more scientific answer.

In that case common sense should prevail. The game doesn’t need stopping for cramp. The player shouldn’t be writing around in pain, so the ref shouldn’t stop play. If they are, then they deserve the 2 minutes off the field. I know that’s not what the rules say, but surely the refs should be allowed to treat each incident objectively.

I’ve enjoyed all of the Harlen Coben series’ on Netflix. Granted I’ve only watched the English language shows. I think some more of his work is on Prime, so might have to dig into that.

Anyone know what channel this is on so I can search it on my FireStick. Thanks
-
Just got a new provider for my FireStick software (renews/expires on NYD each each year). Absolutely brilliant interface for the price, extensive channel list, movies and series available. Can even watch each PL, EFL and Non-League game on-demand until the teams next game. £60 a year is half the price I was paying per month for Sky.

Girona are absolutely brilliant. Started watching them for obvious reasons this season but some of the football they play is sublime.
-
I didn’t mean to come across as though I was disagreeing with your post, apologies. Just fancied a bit of a rant about Leeds ‘fans’. They do have a good amount of real football fans, who know their stuff. There’s just a vast amount of idiots too.
-
They started off by using the ‘the first month was a shambles and DF didn’t know who would be in his squad’. Leeds fans only ever look inwards, it’s as if other clubs don’t face the issues they face. They even have a saying for it ‘Leeds that’. Because anything negative only happens to Leeds Utd. Genuinely one of the most deluded fan bases in the country. I really hope they rot in the football league for another decade.

Yeah, you’re right. I’m still just a bit peeved that we threw 2 points away. I don’t dislike Casadei FWIW, he’s been okay. We can let it go because we’ve got such a lead over 3rd, but if we hadn’t and we’re giving minutes to a loanee who’s just ‘okay’, it’d be unforgivable. Understand KDH and NDidi might’ve been struggling but you’re so close to a massive 3pts, I’d rather let them tire out for that last quarter and suck it and see for the next game. If they aren’t ready, so be it. They didn’t seem to be struggling, it was one eye on the next game. When in reality, I’d say had we persisted we’d have that 3pts and we can worry about Cardiff when it comes to it. As you say, all hindsight and if they hadn’t been lucky, we’d not be discussing it.
-
Don’t disagree with that, but there were other options that would’ve suited the situation better.

Reckon we have a clause where, if we don’t play him x amount of times, the fee increases?

It is stupid. It’s the most pointless stat in the world of sport.
