For the entirety of the campaign. I’m not the oldest (mid 30s). Don’t think I’ve seen it. That was staunch, it was nothing but counter attack for 38 games. More stubborn than Enzo. It just worked, amazingly well.

Didn’t feel like it needed a new topic. Has anyone won anything like we did; purely on the counter?

You can’t be to far from me mate! There’s so many small differences between chippies around the UK, I wouldn’t change ours (except from the price). I guess it’s a case of, you like what you know.

Right, I’m usually one to let things slide but you’ve got my goat here Granted the chain chippies are absolutely tosh, nobody who wants proper fish and chips goes to them. There’s plenty of superb chippies around (in Leeds anyway), I can’t really speak for Hudds/Halifax. They do tend to be smaller traditional ones though, so unless they’re round the corner from you, you’d not know about them.

Plenty of West Yorks chippies do pies mate. Not sure why you’d want a pie from the Chippie mind you

I thought he should’ve made the foul further up the pitch and stopped the break but it was a brilliant challenge. He’s definitely matured as a footballer. He’s competent on the ball and puts in a shift. There was one moment, where a few years ago he’d have made a challenge that wasn’t necessary and probably been sent off. He’s taking that out of his game and fair play to him.

They took us apart IMO. They let us play our game without us causing them many problems, stifled us and broke as and when they wanted to. Had that being a PL team, they’d have been 2-0 up in the first 10 minutes and would’ve murdered us over the 90. Nonetheless, you know more than me and I’d appreciate if you didn’t put me back in my box

Could’ve been 2-0 down after 10 mins. They played well. One of those days.

Travelled from Leeds to Boro to play today so missed the build up, game and post match (and had a fair few beers). Would anyone be kind enough to summarise in a reply?

Couple of near misses mid-week but finally got one last night.

Why did Rodgers hold his hand up while Simeone wasn’t even looking. A normal person would have given him a tap on the back and then shook his hand. He really is an odd bloke isn’t he.

Could’ve had 4 or 5 and definitely should’ve had a couple. Annoying.

That’s actually annoying. Imagine being 12 for 12.

If we compare him to Barnes who struggled to break into the full England set up, even after playing for the age groups and posting solid numbers for us, it’s probably a wise decision from McAteer. He’s been doing alright in the Championship, but has shown nothing to suggest he’ll ever be capable of making it into the England setup as a full international. He might one day, but it’s a stretch, even if he develops into a decent PL player. Fair play to him.
