Selling a football club isn’t like flogging a car or a house where you might have someone snap your hand off on day one of you advertising it. If someone is interested in us then we’re unlikely to hear very much about it for some time, and any buyers due diligence is going to take what feels like (to us fans anyway) an eternity. We will all speculate on here every day for a fair few months and then one day it’ll just be happening. There’s often not a bidding war for a football club unless they’re gone busy and are available for pennies. I don’t remember there being loads of speculation about King Power buying us back in the day. It just kind of happened (I am old and it was a while ago though so I’m fine to be corrected on that!)

That was a very useful runout and a fun game to be honest. 3-3 in Spain against a La Liga side - and coming back from being 2-1 behind with a team of mainly kids - is a decent result and sets us up well. We're also nowhere near as boring to watch as we used to be. Souttar could not be arsed in the slightest though.

I think the lack of interested parties may be more to do with the current shaky state of global finances (especially with the war in Iran). If we're looking for investment from the Middle East anyone sensible there is waiting a bit to see how things play out in the coming months from their own economy persepective. Probably even people from outside of the region too as oil prices have such a massive effect on everything. Also, I know it's only Connor Chaplin and Alex McCarthy in so far, but I don't think we would have even signed them if we were close to administration. We had to find their signing on fees from somewhere! I think this post makes me a glass half full person. For once.

Hello all. I doubt many people here are aware of this, but for fifteen years I was a professional stand-up comedian. I took a hiatus in 2018 to concentrate on my day job, and that ended up lasting until the Leicester Comedy Festival this year (that, like many others, I still haven't been paid for, the thieving swines). Anyway, for a myriad of reasons I have decided to do one last ever gig on December 3rd at the Y Theatre, because comedians don't ever get to choose to have a last gig in the way that footballers choose to have a last match. So I'll do some of my favorite stuff I did during my career (I assure you I wasn't terrible, it was a full time job and I did things like Fighting Talk a few times) and then I'll walk off into the night. There is guaranteed to be one joke (one of my favourites) that involves a passing reference to Chris O'Grady. It's on a Thursday night so it shouldn't clash with any of our matches. Tickets are as cheap as the venue would let me sell them at as I'd really like it to be busy. If you like comedy and fancy what I hope will be a decent night out, please come along! A rich bloke owning us doesn't mean we can buy expensive players again until the club is profitable. Unless I've got that wrong. Would be nice to not be waiting to go bust, mind.

I would imagine that we're a pretty nice prospect for investment. Us having the Leeds thing and loans / money problems won't put the right people off, that just depends on the asking price from King Power in conjunction with that. If it's not too daft we'll find an owner. Most football clubs are sold when they're struggling in some way. This will absolutely mean that we spend zero of the money we've got in on transfers on any new players though. Guaranteed. They're not going to spend a penny now if they're getting out soon, regardless of any financial rules (although they can probably blame them).

I reckon Cooper and Skipp wouldn't look out of place as a couple of mates who have teamed up to be contestants on a 1986 episode of Bullseye.

I don't think there's really been any concrete links with Skipp leaving, has there? Just can't see anyone being interested in him - and I don't dislike him like a lot of people do. It's just expecting someone to pay out a lot of money for not a lot of player. Just because we were daft enough to do it doesn't mean someone else will be!
