I think it was irrelevant. Just before Christmas was present at a series of conversations with him that gave an insight into the impossible position I think all the managers have faced. Toxic players with a direct line to the DOF and owner who interfere with the managers attempts to improve things and discipline players. It was clear that day he was a genuine individual who could not last under the regime. The owner who has no footballing knowledge has his fingers too embedded in directing things . He acts like a star struck teenager and it’s impossible to break. He continues to surround himself with sycophants who have no backbone to drive through the right things.

Relegation, League 1, financial implications
Globalfox replied to splinterdream's topic in Leicester City Forum
When the regulator had their first meeting with fans I submitted two pages of questions that I believed mattered to true football supporters. 90% of them the regulator said was outside their remit. It confirmed what I thought the regulator will benefit supporters not one bit. If you are hoping for improvements that make sense do not hold your breath. -
Because the club signed a new deal with OVG Catering and everything has to go through them.

The Top chose JR over her advice is probably the most accurate comment on here.

Relegation, League 1, financial implications

Actually we have used the parachute payments as security for a cash facility. How much of that has been consumed is the unknown. Given what the new CFO alluded to in recent conversation with the FAB I would suggest that much if not most is used. If relegated things become clear we can only spend 70% of revenue. Revenue will fall substantially so sever cost cutting will take place at many levels. We will need a savvy recruitment and manager to find bargains. Spending breaches to get back up will not now work. Selling Seagrave is not a simple option. -
Redesign the club top to bottom defining each role then make everyone apply for their current job in its new format and justify what they will do better to secure it. I believe almost all the management would fail this so new bold. I expect all the coaching and fitness staff to fail so new blood. Sell the women’s team, scale back Seagrave. Establish a budget aligned to income and make not breaking it a metric for everyone. Tell Top to keep his beak out and ban him from talking to players and staff. Remove all current contractors and suppliers making them bid anew on new work scopes. Talk to the fans not at them, explain things not hide from them. Return to football, publish a footballing ethos and hire a DOF to deliver. Remind everyone it’s about entertaining and winning. Deliver on building a sound fiscal basis through improved customer experience and delivery. Run the club on 30% less staff than currently. Be honest no new stadium. And a structured delivery on affordable improvements. Sell or rent Belvoir Drive. Tougher on academies cut those not making the grade faster. That’s all for week one.

Anthony Herlihy – Director of Noncommunication

Some conversations must be going on many staff on Saturday told us they do not expect to have jobs going forward. -
They have contacted box holders and hospitality season ticket holders with the good news we can renew with no increases for next season.however they have not described what is on offer especially regarding the atrocious food standards. Yesterday many hospitality season ticket holders discussed they are not renewing. Sad to see as we lose so many football friends.reality is that across all levels of management even below the top two fools are clueless.

Is the Championship heading for financial 'catastrophe'?
Globalfox replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
I whole heartedly support a salary cap below the Premier League also a cap on agents fees. The tax on the EPL I cannot support they should not pay for weakness in other businesses. The reality is that for any of this to happen multiple clubs will need to fall into administration and I am not talking one or two but 25 to 30. The one big change should be that all transfer fees must be paid in full immediately upon player transfer. Too much money is currently tied up on HP. Football also needs to lose about 350 players by going back to 15 man squads and one substitute only. -
Which lounge and can you share specifics upcoming meeting with the club and caterers so specific ammunition is helpful. Can contact me privately if you do not want it public. All input from anyone appreciated.

The bulk of the construction costs for Seagrave were covered by the funds from the sale of Harry McGuire so the amount of any additional financing was low. The one item that seems hard to track is when and how the land was acquired and funded. The best I can see is that the land was acquired and is owned by King Power. In the accounts buildings etc are depreciated in the club . The land may not have that much value unless they could get change of use to redevelop it.

Daka missing a penalty and a sitter shows just why we are where we are. Defensively not bad but no real goal threat unless it comes from James. -
Good observation. VC type investors look to an exit strategy that escalates their investment. Or a venture that provides lots of cash even if it is not profitable. NCP pre Covid was a cash cow but that cash has collapsed leaving an inability to service debt. Having, debt is not a big deal as long as you can service the interest on the debt aka Man Utd. NCP like football clubs often have no appreciating assets unless you build youngsters you sell on for high fees. This is the biggest failing of Leicester in the last few years. This will be interesting going forward the next big TV deal might not be as big. There are lots of calls on peoples cash and it is more transitory than ever. You could say Macquarie did well exiting NCP before the problems hit.

I suggested that the meetings should have an issues dashboard so we track and show to fans actions and deliverables fell on deaf ears. -

I hold my hand up I was the one that suggested they think it through. Not raising prices looks good in the short term but the many seasons in the past when the club did not do contributed to poor fiscal management and then people get hit with a wham. The issue is that many of the senior club staff do not seem to think through the longer term issues - lack of strategy. Cosbeh is also correct there is no agility in the club it takes too long as we see with the Away scheme they should have moved quicker after the 90 minute session. I often have to read the minutes several times to remind myself I was in the room. What does not come through is that there are good people with passion pushing against a wall of blandness. -
I don’t think that will say much until they are fairly sure of where we will be. Increases will not occur if we go down, not so sure if we retain status as they may seek inflation costs. They have a lot to chew on as revenues have fallen a lot. Depends what next season ambitions will be. Based on this year I suspect renewal rates will drop by 10 to 15% so single matchday pricing will be interesting. Personally I would open a window soon with a significant discount to renew early. However I am only a businessman what would I know?
