Ayew and Fatawu both apparently injured vs Angola. Due for scans back at Leicester. Article (Ghanaian football one) mentions Ayew a knee injury. Not specific on Fatawu.

Ipswich more recent than Tottenham

We're easily the smallest tier 1 nation (unless we really are including Fiji these days.) Depth has always been the Welsh problem, the likes of England, France, South Africa et all have a vastly bigger player pool than us. Gatland has always used summer tours and autumn Internationals to experiment and rotate and try and cultivate more depth and it's always thrown up shock results that people have over reacted to every time. I've lost count of the amount of times we've been written off for a Six Nations or World Cup because we've had some embarrassing results in the months before and people have forgotten their history. This is something very different, though. We've just had almost an entire 15 retire over the last 18 months and we're talking multiple grand slam winners and world cup semi finalists. All happening at a time when youth development and participation are crashing, the regions are in dire financial mess, the WRU are dealing with open revolt across the Welsh public and pretty much 30 years of amateurish mismanagement are catching up with them. The Welsh game won't recover without considerable reform. The only way we'll be Six Nations contenders again in the next generation is if a genuinely phenomenal coach comes along and elevates some of these youngsters we've got now. But as much as I like some of the lads coming through, they're a long way from the babies Gats took to NZ in 11. Even with better, more modern coaching, they'd have a ceiling much lower.

Somewhat enormous difference in expectation

I was up last night with really bad gastritis / acid reflux. I'd had no intention of watching it but when you're up at 5am and it's on and free you might as well take a peak. I found it very sad. It wasn't just a 58 year old man, it was a very ill and troubled one being used as a prop. B Hop boxed in to his 50s, fighting pretty elitle boxers, he showed his age obviously but he was still in immense shape. Tyson was done a long time ago, his brain was never great in his prime, it's not gotten healthier and he's been out for a long time on top of being old.
-
Yep. That's a 60 year old man.

Such a weird club. -
They must have done their own internal investigations. Don't want to be callous or cynical but I assume things like insurers, sponsors etc would all pretty much demand it? Yet as far as I'm aware he's never even been suspended pending any kind of investigation? I know it's difficult protecting his identity if they do that but he never disappeared from their side at all did he? He just played all year last year iirc? If you were them you'd rather the loss of earnings suit brought by Mendy to Man City than doing what they did which was compete in a title race all year with a pending rape conviction hanging over one of the most important players? Maybe they genuinely don't think there's anything in it. Maybe I'm very naive. I dunno. Just found the whole situation super weird.

Just Shinji Okazaki smiling across Leicester from four different angles. Who wouldn't be happy looking at that.

I love the way the thread title implies it's some sort of throw away decision the fans can make, like we have a choice

Eh, he's ok. It's hard to say because obviously Bayern have different standards than us but his progress hasn't been what they'd hoped. He's still very young with a lot of development to do but I don't think getting him on loan would save our season and I doubt they want to cash in yet. Looks like Forest are more closely linked to him than us anyway.

I'm not a petty, small minded, jealous bitch so I don't really hate Enzo for leaving? I want Leicester to beat Chelsea because I'm a Leicester fan but I don't really care if "Cooper" beats "Enzo." I especially don't care if "Cooper" beating Chelsea involves us parking the bus for 90 minutes and shit-housing it with the manager being bailed out for the Nth time by a player's individual bit of brilliance compensating for his lack of tactical plan. I would change my view of Cooper and warm up to him if the team started showing genuine progress, he started showing some bravery and faith in them, actually got us playing entertaining progressive football and winning games. Doesn't even have to be against teams at the top, either, I'd settle for us not looking like abject cowards and clueless also-rans against the likes of Palace, West Ham, Everton and co'.

It isn't. I'm 99% certain I clicked Tier 4 but I doubt anyone's changed it so I probably just lagged and miss-clicked.
