  1. Plastic scousers frothing all over the internet
  2. Let's be honest, most of the people in the stands were defending Rodgers right up until we dropped almost. The crowd isn't turning on Cooper yet.
  3. Wow. Tell you who else is 34. @Miquel The Work Geordie barnet idol, Astrit Ardjevic. Astrit has had a creditable career. Standard Liege, AEK Athens, DIF and an Albanian cap. Currently a free agent after his Swedish second division club went bankrupt. And foxestalk thinks we don't find the best young gems for the future. LCFC, academy of Europe.
  4. Pier Laraurri is 30. He plays in the Romanian second division.
  5. Remember that time Unai Emery was unemployed willing to go to a shit Midlands club
  6. Absolutely wild to me that Ashley Chambers is 34. Edit: sorry, that's the thought that popped in to my head unfiltered when I saw this thread title. When I realised it was another moan about our transfer business I just posted it anyway. Have a nice day.
  7. Tbh I'd even add BEK to this moan. We have £50m-ish of new midfielders sat warming the bench most games whilst players who we already had run around trying to create chances for Jordan Ayew because we "couldn't afford" better striking options. And they could turn out to be brilliant players but it's obvious the manager isn't all that fussed about them so why did we bother. Last year, Enzo knew exactly what he wanted. There was such a clear template to how we recruited. Wingers have to be able to win one on ones, want a keeper who is good with his feet, want very specifically Harry Winks. Came in with clear demands, Glover delivered, was largely happy. By the way, basically none of them had Championship experience. One of our best transfer windows in years, got huge mileage out of all of them and only Coady was a bit of a waste. Cooper turns up, his only ask is "premier league experience" and we recruit completely aimlessly and waste cash. Hideous.
  8. Or really anywhere. The longer the season goes on, the more this business annoys me. I didn't hate Reid at first, not until we picked up Ayew. Having both on the wage bill is ridiculous, regardless of Reid having no transfer fee. He's contributed next to nothing so far. As for Skipp, christ. It's not even that he's an awful player but what we spent for him to then so few options in more obviously problematic areas of the pitch is just absolutely criminal. In the broader context, he might be the worst single deal we've done in years (again, not a reflection of his ability necessarily.)
  9. The midfield three holding hands near no United players is horrendous
  10. SOME SERIOUS MUCK ON THIS LIST
  11. I still don't think we'll sack him until we're in the bottom three. We're a reactive not proactive club. But I do think this weekend has been a significant round of results. Looking up the table now you suddenly see how much everyone has just pulled away and we're very much in the bottom clump. Five points just to go up two spaces? It's not insignificant.
  12. Don't do it to yourself man, enjoy your Sunday
  13. Mix of Leeds, Bradford and Liverpool. They'll all be angrier than I am when United win
  14. Never thought I'd be glad I'm being dragged to lunch with the in laws.
  15. 👀
  16. Probably yeah.
  17. Back in 2011/12, FAW invited the English based clubs to come back to the Welsh Cup and UEFA made a point then of saying that if they did, they wouldn't qualify for European competition through it. The only way this will happen now is if the Welsh clubs give up their rights to qualify through English competition as a trade off. Short term, fair enough, makes sense. Not like any of them are going get in the Europa League any time soon. But you'd imagine Swansea and Cardiff haven't permanently given up all hope of ever getting back to the Prem indefinitely and Wrexham will almost certainly still have it as a goal. It'd be an odd decision I think. Also shits all over the clubs playing in the Welsh league system. I'm generally against but it's all a bit meh who cares.
  18. It's ankle, yes. Not ACL. He wouldn't be training on grass already if he'd done his ACL which he has been for a few weeks. Plus, whatever you think of Cooper, why would he lie.
  19. The culture war weirdos do make user reviews a whole load less reliable than they used to be, sadly. I'd say three things, though: 1. Bioware refused to send review codes to basically anyone they thought would give a vaguely negative review. This meant a lot of the early reviews were obviously quite positive but equally created an enormous amount of backlash. I mean, they didn't even let Fextralife see it and they're one of the biggest RPG content creators out there. Not a good look. 2. Personally, I think Dragon Age and Bioware have gotten steadily worse with every release. DA1 was a brilliant game, by the time they got to Inquisition I thought it was very middle-of-the-road console rpg fodder. It's not much better than Kingdoms of Amalur, which is the most 6/10 game ever, it just had a well known IP to its name. 3. You don't get more "woke" than Baldurs Gate 3. There is a phenomenal amount of representation in BG3, it's beloved by the LGBT community and it's done a lot to bring a somewhat niche rpg style in to the mainstream. It is near universally acclaimed and you'll struggle to find anyone with much bad to say about it. Yeah, there's one or two fringe weirdos making mods that make Wyll white or Dame Aylin more feminine but any culture war review bombing was near universally drowned out by an overwhelming wave of support. When you put all of this together, my interpretation is that - as expected - Veilguard is just a massively average, middle of the road, 6/10 RPG trying to convince everyone it's worth 60 or 70 odd quid because it had a AAA budget. If it was a great game, that's what you'd be hearing, the fact people are so easily distracted by "diversity" or "woke" tells me the game itself isn't all that interesting. It's like the reverse of that recent PlayStation Neir-clone where literally the only selling point was the waifu main character's arse in latex. TLDR: If the hype isn't about the actual gameplay or story telling you can usually glean what you want from that.
  20. Anyone who has posted in this thread so far without saying Rage Against The Machine by Rage Against The Machine should be banned for life imo.
  21. How has Danny Ward never done this.
