The only way I'll ever love this bit of recruitment is if he does genuinely get us playing amazing football like he apparently "wants to" having had to resort to playing absolute muck with Forest because they're that tinpot. Bonus marks if he even publicly makes a comment to that effect in an interview. The amount of Red jimmies this will rustle will be out of this world.

Probably can't get to the door quick enough.

Is this a new ITK hint Wymsey, is the fat kid with the lisp our new head of sports science?

More effort went in to this meme than our managerial recruitment.

He'll be in post until the club changes ownership.

If some of the goalkeeping in this tournament happened in the women's game, it'd be being talked about non stop. -
I'll see you at Farsley Celtic @Miquel The Work Geordie

I was pretty excited and optimistic about Maresca. He was coming in with good pedigree and good recommendations. If Cooper had been working with Pep Guardiola and Manuel Pelligrini and was highly regarded by both then I'd be a lot more excited. I get that you think some of the reactions on here might be a bit melodramatic - it's FoxesTalk after all - and you do tend to get yourself a bit dug-in and entrenched when these arguments turn in to FT vs. Babylon but you've actually lost the wood for the trees if you genuinely don't think Enzo was a more exciting and promising appointment than Cooper. Even we don't seem to actually have wanted Cooper, we've spent a month looking around for better options and appear to have circled back because we're drawing blanks. Meanwhile we went chasing Maresca back when we were still in the Premier League and went straight in for him when we went down.

We took a chance on a highly rated, well thought of up and coming coach with zero relevant experience but a number of high profile recommendations based on his potential. This is recruiting a bargain basement option who has been in senior management for five years and shown very little of significance other than a six month purple patch that got Forest in the playoffs.

We got a better manager than this when we were in the Championship.

What's Mickey Adams up to these days.

The other thing about Cooper that will depress the **** out of me is that if it is him, given he was available and would have taken it a month ago, we've blatantly spent four or five weeks doing an exhaustive search and not being able to come up with anyone better. I mean, that is absolutely the most criminal bit.

I have more faith in the nutritional value of your pubic hair than the combined footballing stratagems of Jonathan Rudkin and Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha.
-
If it's Cooper I basically give up. It's not just that he's shit and straight out of the poverty bin, it's that it just makes absolutely zero sense with our recent squad building.

Kvaradona! -
Absolutely not. Under any circumstances. I've never seen such a big lump of a guy be such a pathetic, diving twat.

Bit of a bombscare sometimes is our Joe but I'd definitely take him on a loan or for a bargain. Could do worse. Definitely not worth a bidding war though.

I'm always a bit anxious when a run in is that kind. It means your fixtures are probably stacked earlier on, it's OK having the games coming up to get you out of trouble but psychologically it's not great to be in trouble in the first place and that's far more likely if your easier fixtures aren't til later in the cycle.

I wouldn't call that a VAR controversy tbh. It's the wording of the handball laws that they're constantly messing up that's the problem.
