I mean he just isn't a DoF is he. He's a corporate senior manager, he manages a bunch of people, he hires and fires staff (probably based on other people's recommendations and knowledge) and he keeps things ticking over. He's got absolutely no sporting vision at all. I'm pretty confident my director at work could do Rudkin's job just with transferable business skills and a rudimentary understanding of corporate performance management.

What happened man. You used to he cool.

Ffs Saudi Arabia now want to buy Everton too? -
I don't necessarily mean like that. As I've said before, "counter attacking football" is a bit of a myth. At very least, it's misunderstood. Counter attacking is contextual and something you can opt to do when the opportunity arises, your entire attack shouldn't rely exclusively on it or that's when you become a completely shit team (a la David Moyes.) You have to be able to break down an opponent that refuses to engage, against whom you can't counter. But being "a possession based team" means a lot of things. There are many different systems and patterns of play you can use, requiring many different skill sets in your players. What Enzo wanted, particularly in terms of wide players, full backs and centre mids was very different to what Potter has wanted historically. This makes me a little anxious. Far more than any perceived record of Potter's teams not scoring, given this is a guy that was stuck with Maupay and Welbeck as his finishing options.

My biggest issue with Potter is I'm not entirely convinced he benefits from last summer's recruitment. Particularly Mavididi and Fatawu who are our best attacking outlets.

In fairness, his Brighton side had ****ing terrible strikers and his Chelsea side didn't have any.

I give up if this happens. My one hope atm is that Glover knows what he's doing.

Few different twitter accounts. Not lcfc ones, overseas ones.

I like him and wish him the best but it wouldn't be a major shock to see him do a Di Matteo.

Probably someone taking the piss to prove you can start a rumour about anything. That said, if he hadn't had a great Champions League run he'd probably be out of a job. He's been a bit hit and miss in the league and and has had some catastrophic lows to go with some impressive highs already in such a short career as a head coach. It wouldn't surprise me if he's job searching in the next six months and if he does get sacked by Dortmund he'll probably wind up at a mid table team somewhere.

Group C: Slovenia, Denmark, Serbia, England

Holy shit, Madders lives in this guy's head rent free. Imagine being literally the worst striker in the Premier League and having the drive to be so obsessed with trying to shithouse any other fellow pro, let alone one about ten times better better than you. And why? Cos he was triggered by his celebration? Whatever you think of Maddison, Maupay is so ****ing tinpot. -
I just think if it was Cooper he'd be in post by now, tbh. He's available, he'd bite our hand off for the chance, his last job was local, I assume there's very few complications. He'd represent a significant change in strategy, he doesn't play the desired type of football. Surely the delay is that we're just taking our time to find Maresca mk 2. There's got to be a raft of other similar, young coaches with the footballing philosophy that the ownership want. We showed a willingness to trust one last year and it went great, we got promoted, just can't imagine we'd immediately change our approach now and hire someone that plays vastly different football. As cheap as Cooper might be in terms of salary and compensation, he'd be costly in that we'd presumably have to reshape some of the squad. Just doesn't seem likely really. But it's good for us and good for Cooper if that's the main story the press and the rumour mill want to focus on so yknow. Cool.

I suppose, theoretically, you could then sell them to each other for like £80m the year after and so on and so on.
