It literally isn't. It's obviously a mistake and it's bad but he's told to play that way. It'll look extremely bad when it goes wrong because they'll often score but equally how many times a season are we going to score goals because he picked the pass well, we broke the press, got out and scored? It'll go both ways.

Eh. That was always going to happen eventually. It'll drive people nuts when it happens but we'll inevitably always concede goals like that. Was stupid by Hermansen, first major mistake he's made. VAR probably gives that a foul on Winks in the Prem but you aren't getting away with that here.

The Woooooooooot thing really irritates me. It doesn't make sense. It's not how you say his name.

Liverpool fans claiming this is the worst refereeing performance they've ever seen. It's not even the worst refereeing performance involving them this week.
-
Bristol City fans said the same and they still changed it up. Teams will break their norm against us all year.

Believe it when he steps in the ring

Then you get to your branch and they tell you you can do it online by talking to the chat ai

He's been poor. The assumption was that Enzoball would bring the best out of him. I actually think it's exposing his biggest weakness. His first touch is absolutely awful. Yes, he's our best play making forward when he's got the ball under control but that's a really significant caveat. The players that are thriving the most in this system are all players that can kill a ball near instantly. Winks, Vestergaard, Ricardo, Hermansen, these guys all have peerless first touch. Even guys like Choudhury have always had a pretty surprisingly good first touch. We move the ball so quickly and deliberately play it in to such tight spaces that that it's compulsory receivers can handle that. KDH, Casadei, Iheanacho, etc who were all expected to do well are all having a fair bit of frustration because the ball gets pinged in to them and they can't control it. I personally hope we're not too far off Daka becoming Vardy's #2 if I'm honest. It's not that I think Daka has a much better first touch than Iheanacho but I just think the way he'll play in this system will be a little different, he won't drop as deep as Kel and it won't be as necessary. Plus, frankly, he'll be way more effective in the press.

Fvcking mobile banking. I appreciate the commitment to safety and anti crime, I want to know they're looking after my money and I'm completely down with that. But fvck me is it going a bit far. Literally just trying to transfer my bill money to my Monzo and I've had to answer like a 10 question questionnaire before it'll let me go. Is anyone holding me at gunpoint, has anyone told me to do this. FFS I've put my biometrics in, I've said I'm sure, just move my fvcking money you bastards. As if you'd be like "oh yeah there's a robber in front of me right now with a gun, oh sorry robber, Santander says you can't have the money, please don't shoot me and my family."

The problem with looking at how teams "normally" play is that there's nothing normal about us this year and everybody knows it already. Bristol City don't normally park the bus in the way they did against us, for example. Yes there'll be the odd Norwich or Southampton that try (and fail) to stick to their "usual" game plan but a lot of teams are going to mix it up entirely. It's hard to predict who exactly is going to come to the KP and park the bus vs who is going to "give it a go."

Looking forward to Japan Argentina. Head says Argentina, heart says Japan, although I'm not sure I'd want to knock the latter out

Swansea advertised one recently similar to that pathway data role. Wanted both coaching badges and a post grad qualification / degree in some form of data analytics. 22k They just assume you'll be so desperate to work for your football club you'll take chump change. Don't so it kids.

Even if it were true that Patson Daka couldn't historically play in a one striker system (and it isn't, it's always been an extremely stupid thing to say) it also just seems especially silly in context. We've just watched our new manager, in a short space of time, turn Ndidi in to one of the best box to box / attacking midfielders in the league, Ricardo in to an excellent deep lying play maker, Kasey McAteer in to a prolific wide forward and he's also gotten a tune out of a forgotten Jannik Vestergaard. The completely unfounded idea that he can't get a tune out of Patson Daka is offensive to both Daka and Maresca in equal measure.
-
You might have been but I think the other guy was serious. I think a few people actually do believe Jason McAteer is his dad.
-
I'm pretty confident his dad isn't Jason McAteer. Think that's just a silly rumour. He was born in Northampton in 2001 when Jason was playing for Sunderland.

We gonna win the fvcking Prem again let's go

They also have one of the best coaches in history at coaching a high intensity pressing game. People might not like Jurgen Klopp but it doesn't stop him being an extremely gifted coach.

The more I see of him, actually the more I see Vardy. People used to bang on every season about how Barnes could be a 9 and I swear they didn't actually fvcking watch him play. It's not his instincts at all, he loves to have the ball to feet from deeper on the field, he wants to have time to set himself and he wants to charge at his full back cutting in. Barnes at LW was exactly where he should be. He showed none of the quality of movement off the ball he would need to truly shine at 9. But McAteer's movement off the ball is probably his most stand out quality. Combined with his work rate and his aggression, I think there's a lot of Vards in him. He doesn't quite have blistering pace but he's definitely fast enough to get in behind and away and so far he's not wavered at all on his finishing.

Hermansen Justin, Vestergaard, Faes Winks, Ricardo Fatawu, Ndidi, KDH, Mavididi, Vardy Just flip the defence. Don't think Faes is super side dependent, Ricky inverts from the LB spot instead, JJ does the Doyle thing from RB. Otherwise unchanged from Bristol. Feels a bit harsh on Macca after scoring again but I think Mavididi’s all round game is too important to us and he has attributes the others all lack a bit.
