Did... did Jannik just sprint?

Stephen Kelly sounds almost exactly like Brian O'Driscoll
-
Oh shit yeah he's playing isn't he
-
I mean I'm not suggesting he's Usain Bolt but singling him out for being slow when he plays in a team with Vestergaard, Ayew and Skipp is a bit harsh
-
Don't think that's entirely fair. Said before he reminds me of Nugent. He's obviously not rapid but he's not quite a donkey either.
-
In absolute fairness, Okoli isn't unfamiliar playing RB. I am surprised he's pushing up though. I assumed Thomas would.

I looked it up in my copy pal and it just said:

It's just a lineup that you look at and immediately don't want to watch the game. I really hate what this club has become man.

We red button / plus tonight? -
I mean, this is just on you. I'm sorry but that's just your lack of understanding. There's some genuinely very valid things to criticise Winks for, he's started making a lot more mistakes, his effort and application wasn't what it used to be, he isn't tracking runners particularly well, he hasn't been perfect at all. But what you're describing and complaining about is exactly what he's supposed to do and what he does well. He moves the ball around and moves it around quickly, he drastically increases the tempo of our play and he does it better than anyone else in the squad. We look significantly worse when he isn't playing because Skipp and Soumare simply cannot do it and the ball never gets out of midfield. Winks suffers enormously this year because the options in front of him are consistently terrible but he's still easily the best we have. If Cifuentes football has any hope at success (and wanting us to play a different way as a fan is perfectly valid, I'm not questioning that part) and he's the manager we have for now whether people like it or not, it needs Winks doing exactly that. We have to keep passing. As the saying goes, we don't pass to move the ball, we pass to move the opposition.

What's really mind blowing about our wage bill is just how little real quality and depth is left in the squad. When we first came down with a record breaking wage bill we had Vardy, Maddison, Tielemans, Barnes, Soyuncu, Evans, Justin, Castagne, Albrighton, Dewsbury-Hall, Ndidi, Mendy, Praet, Iheanacho and Perez all on the books who have all now gone. It's absolutely bonkers how we're STILL crippled by the wage bill when we've shelved all of that and brought in very, very little real substance to replace it. Mad. Can't imagine running a football club much worse.

They went up and spent 180m. They've got 15 new players, most of whom are talented players in their prime or on the rise. We went up and bought Oliver Skipp for 25m.

Realistic Managerial Replacements
Finnegan replied to winteriscoming's topic in Leicester City Forum
Rodgers shouldn't have been given the power to do lasting damage in the first place. He's literally a perfect example of why clubs should have directors of football that actually do the job properly and don't delegate everything to a "manager" like it's still 1987. Cooper is another great, albeit lesser, example. His own flawed perception of recruitment and our needs has us adopt a policy of recruitment (premier league experience) that has no forward planning at all, no long term use for the club. We throw away money on Ayew, Reid and Skipp that we'll never see back instead of buying young players to up sell to get us out of the mire. The common link in all of that is Top and Rudkin. Rodgers was a cancer, yes, but we shouldn't have been chain smoking in Chernobyl in the first place. -
Sure but what was the combined value of his book and loyalty bonus? It's Betis, they've established their position in La Liga by scraping around in Europe's bargain bucket. I doubt they were offering more than 5-7m? And they definitely wouldn't have been matching his wages, what obligation was on us to make up the difference?
-
Oh in that case. I reckon Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne and Virgil van Dijk would probably sort us out.
-
This is the single most optimistic thread on foxestalk. We did no transfer business except three loans in the summer and our director of football rarely agrees to sign anyone further away than France. Yall still throwing out the Argentine wonderkids.
-
No he's shit. He never sticks it out anywhere and was only ever just a new manager bounce.

Ha, I might know the guy replying. Is Linda Ginnetta any relation of Cliff? I apologise if this is really unfair slander but my perception of the Ginnettas has always been that they brown nose the club? Don't they run one of our main supporter groups and they're the ultimate happy clappers? Says a lot.

Even if the fanbase is turning, you still can't organise something through FoxesTalk if you want more than a small handful of people to take part. That's not me attacking the idea or saying you shouldn't bother and I'm not saying you can't or shouldn't discuss it here. But you need to take it to a wider audience if you want any traction. When Barry from Bosworth, lifelong season ticket holder, tragically dies age 54 - the whole stadium doesn't start clapping on the 54th minute because they heard about it on FoxesTalk, do they?
-
All of these suggestions for protests are absolutely wasted on Foxestalk. Foxestalk is an echo chamber and a bubble of, generally, more impatient and demanding supporters that doesn't reflect the wider audience. As much as I hate Facebook, I'm not even on Facebook, you want to use mainstream social media like that if you want to generally reach out and encourage discontent amongst most of the folk that attend. There are a LOT of season ticket holders that just think us falling back down to mid table Championship is just normal and was always inevitable and they aren't really all that mad.
