  1. Ruud came in and immediately talked the talk and we all get excited for about twenty seconds. It became very quickly apparent he had no idea how to actually set up.
  2. Usyk is Fury's kryptonite. Fury, for all his freakish size, has been successful mostly because he's faster and more skilled than most of the division. He can't do that with Usyk. Usyk is faster and more talented. Fury can try leaning all over him but using his strength and being a heavy puncher was never really what Fury was best at.
  3. Angriest we've seen him to date. That was brutal.
  4. Already think Dubois needs one miracle punch or it's done. Can't see any heavyweight alive out scoring Usyk on points.
  5. Usyk looking genuinely ****ed off with all of Dubois posturing about the last fight. Wouldn't want to be DDD in there tonight. FWIW, it definitely was a low blow.
  6. In either instance, 3 box 3. We're back.
  7. Don't know about ever but 19/20 is the best in recent memory.
  8. Yeah man, absolute fox.
  9. Sponsorless version of this would be cracking tbf
  10. I don't agree with the part about being suited to the system. He was genuinely (relative to the level we were playing at) excellent in Enzo's system. His contributions to all round play were fine. But he's finished here. Cifuentes would have to pull off an incredible, near godly act of man management to resurrect Daka's Leicester career. His confidence is just absolutely shot, he needs to get out and go back to a league he can take the piss out of again and rebuild himself. Even I want him sold now frankly. Though given he's the only actual striker on our books I wouldn't do it yet.
  11. Of all the players that people have a rage boner for after last year, I'd most keep Winks. Especially now we know it's Cifuentes. The couple of million profit we might be able to get for him is a lot less than the financial benefits of promotion. Obviously if Cifuentes has other plans for the base of the midfield then I'm more than happy to see him go. He was completely useless to our last two managers, who both wanted conventional defensive midfielders to sit in front of the defence. But if Cifuentes sees Winks the same way Enzo did then he's probably one of our most valuable assets this season and we'd seriously struggle to find anyone better on our likely budget. Vestergaard was pretty good for helping us beat the press and break lines but I don't think that's quite as essential and it isn't really a good enough substitute for actually being able to defend, I'd happily see him and Faes go IF we can adequately replace them (Nelson hopefully makes that easier) but being realistic, who is going to take them off us and pay them a wage they'd leave us for? You're the first to point out how terrible we are at moving players on. It's one thing wanting them gone, it's another entirely thinking the club will manage it.
  12. Let's be honest, that's the sad, anxious smile of a man that'd watch you eat your Fray Bentos off his missus' naked backside. Were you expecting shrewd and ruthless negotiation?
  13. And you cannot ignore the fact we've got to get out of the ****ing Championship first. Everyone's so obsessed with staying in the Premier League, we've got to actually contend with an extremely difficult promotion push this year, assuming we're going to go up is just painfully arrogant. Discarding players that we know are good enough to get us promoted because they had a poor year last year is just daft when we pretty obviously don't have the resources to replace everyone. Obviously if we were inside a Football Manager simulation and we could just offer Vestergaard, Faes, Winks and co out to other clubs, get their exact value as determined by the computer and then go and buy some Brazilian 18 year old with a thousand potential then I'd be right there with you. I agree with you in spirit. I'm ****ing sick of the sight of Vestergaard and Faes and the thought of Winks out there giggling with his We Miss You Enzo sign when we're fighting for our lives makes me grind my teeth. I'd sack off pretty much the entire squad if it was realistic. It just isn't. We're still going to need the vast majority of them and we're probably only going to see one or two very cheap new faces coming in. So you all better pretty quickly get over the big old sulk at Winks and co because they're probably going to be critical to whether or not we go back up this year, whether you like it or not.
  14. You mean two of our best players last time we were in this division? And we won it? And got promoted?
  15. We need to get serious full stop. Really, perhaps naively, hoping for a mini rush now in the next week or so.
  16. Yes but we don't really have either a first choice or a lot of money. I'd be extremely hesitant about this if it's real and not just lazily linking us to half of QPR.
  17. Gabigol isn't banned anymore...
  18. We need to sell him for "a lot" (given the circumstances) just to not take a loss in the year.
  19. It's not really a lager by any British definition. It reminds me a bit of a slightly fresher Doom Bar. And it's super common around Barcelona and the surrounding area.
  20. Top: "They're really pumped about Cifuentes, how do we rile them back up, Jon?" Rudkin: "Remember when we turned down 10m for McAteer?" Top: "... yeah...?" Rudkin: "lol watch this"
  21. I do think if there was a "cut price release clause" he'd have gone already tbh. But I don't think he'll kick another ball for us in competitive football.
  22. And yet half of FoxesTalk wants to sack them off for not being brilliant in the league above, when nobody else was.
  23. "Already started?" We should have been selling players weeks ago. Okoli gets away it because he's been here less time but he's not very good, clearly had aspirations to play for Italy and has been trying to leave - apparently - since halfway through the season? If we can sell him without making a loss we absolutely should.
