  1. He's from Barcelona, it's all about the Estrella Damm. Maybe a Turia if he's not a lager man.
  2. Mavididi is a bit of a dick, Winks thinks he's better than the squad, it's amazing how good some of you lot are at deep psychological analysis of people you've never met before. Really wish FoxesTalk would ****ing knock it off sometimes. We don't actually know what goes on at the club and I can't really blame anyone for having their morale hit by the year we've just had, in particular them having to work with two absolutely honking managers. Enzo came in and turned Jannik Vestergaard - who had been completely frozen out - in to one of our two or three most important players on the way to promotion. Who knows who Cifuentes will like and be able to get a tune out of? Everyone pretty much just gets a clean slate, as far as I'm concerned.
  3. Mavididi's defensive contributions and his overall work rate are some of his more standout stats? Both pressing and tracking back.
  4. If people want to actually, seriously lean in to this then mocking up a football kit, @Foxes_Trust having the big ones to endorse and advertise it, using their logo in place of the Leicester City logo, whacking an anti-gambling / gambling support charity as the sponsor and donating all proceeds to said charity would be a serious big dick move.
  5. I just want a Leicester shirt with CSGB on the front
  6. Found a great wholesome company to be the sponsor. https://www.csgbgroup.co.uk/
  7. It's pretty much a full month later in the year than we signed Maresca, which is pretty atrocious by all accounts.
  8. It is a bit sad that it's only really him and Ricky I'd say I actually like in our squad.
  9. Ekrem Konur just reposts whatever rumour he's seen on Twitter as his own. He has as many sources in football as SecretPro. (Sorry SP)
  10. God I hope he's finally had massive heart failure before then.
  11. I assume it's easier to be happy with your club being morally dubious when they're at least profiting from it. We're being morally dubious and still can't afford Danny Rohl's compo.
  12. But again, why is anyone surprised. All of football stinks. The example is set from the top down.
  13. I'm not okay with it, I'm not defending it, I'm just saying I don't understand why anyone is surprised by it. We did it last year and got away with it, they're obviously going to do it again. I don't want any of the things I just named, I don't want us to be shady, I don't want any club to be, I don't want literal pirates owning football clubs, I don't want literal monarchies owning football clubs, I don't want PSR but I also don't want the likes of Boehly and Marinakis blatantly strolling around the rules that we're getting shafted by. I just hate all of it. The financial state of football at the moment is in an absolute crisis. I just can't be shocked or baffled or quite frankly feel anything much at all, at this point, about us having another ridiculous non-sponsor to milk as much commercial revenue as we can to desperately avoid more points deductions.
  14. Why. I'm genuinely a bit baffled but why everyone's so shocked or surprised about this. It worked last time, why would you not do it again? At the risk of going all @urban.spaceman, I gotta be honest, I blame the governing bodies and the rules just as much as our owners to be honest. We've been under siege for about three seasons now and whilst our own bad decisions has lead to this, so has an absurd set of rules designed to keep mid-sized clubs from spending and growing. We complain when our owners don't seem to do anything and we complain when our owners do. We want them to be proactive and do things intelligently, I get that, but being crooked works. Brighton and Brentford are held up as paragons of virtue and something to aim for but it's Palace that just won the FA Cup and Forest that just missed out on (and have now stolen) Europe with the weird Marinakis-Texor dubious love/hate co-opperative shenanigans. Nothing about them is ethical but they're repeatedly getting away with this shit. Meanwhile our owners have owned a second club for years now and the most they've done with it is shuffle some development squad talent back and forth.
  15. The narrative from the very, very start was that Vichai was buying the club for his son. Obviously he didn't want to be in this position so soon and he definitely wasn't and isn't particularly ready. This is why nepotism and hereditary leadership is problematic, though, and why the world's countries don't work that way anymore. The son of the king isn't necessarily fit to be the king, it's possible Top would never be a particularly great chairman. Even his father wasn't perfect, it'd be interesting to see if Vichai would have modernised the management structure of the club, ultimately the trust of Rudkin started on his watch. We do know Vichai learned from his mistakes more than Top had but he still made more in the first place than other owners. I think ultimately Top will be remembered with some sympathy for what happened to his father but also with the recognition that he just wasn't up to the task.
  16. Oops, good point. I'd play Okoli purely because I'm absolutely fed up of Vestergaard and Faes but I'm not entirely convinced he's better. None of Okoli, Faes or Vestergaard can win a header to save their lives and it does concern me.
  17. There's surely very little chance of the squad looking exactly like this at the moment. That said: Mads, Ricky, Nelson, Souttar, JJ, Winks, Skipp, Fatawu, Bilal, Mavididi, Daka Monga starting the season on the bench but if Mavididi's form doesn't get back to where it was last time in the Championship I could see them swapping. That team, well managed, gets you top two before a points deduction. The complete lack of depth if anyone, especially at the top end of the pitch, gets injured is seriously concerning. Even I'd rather we replaced Daka though. But suggesting you do it with Ayew is just daft.
  18. Diving little bastard
  19. I would absolutely love a generation of fantastic young players from our own academy. But I do think some of you need to calm down. Some of these kids are incredibly young and so far you've watched them play behind closed doors friendlies against two pub teams.
  20. Chuck in a line about needing a plan B (extremely unsubtly implying that that plan B is a 7ft "striker" that averages 0.2 goals a game and can't outrun Vestergaard) and I might have a full on episode.
  21. Please God let Ricky stay fit. This is his healthy year after all, isn't it? The Ricky-Winks axis basically guarantees you top six if nothing else.
  22. I get really bored of people banging on about this, to be honest. "Pragmatic" has become one of the most misused and overused words in the English language on FoxesTalk since Enzo was appointed. He had a clearly defined philosophy and belief in how to win a football game and, if you listen to Cifuentes in his own words, he'll pretty much describe near exactly the same thing. The fundamental difference between them in their careers to date hasn't been how flexible or inflexible they are willing to be but the opportunities they've had presented to them. Enzo, partly because of who he is in football, lets be honest, has walked in to a couple of high profile jobs and has been able to work with some excellent footballers. He's nearly always had the tools at his disposal to play the football he wants to. One of the first things we did when he turned up was drop about 10m on Harry Winks for him. Cifuentes has come up through a far more unorthadox route and has often had to make do. That doesn't mean he rocked up at Hospitalet or Hammarby and started lumping it long like a Sean Dyche disciple, it just means he might have had to refine the shape he builds in or accept that there are times his team won't be able to dominate possession (which Enzo also did, in games against Norwich, Southampton, etc.) Any of our fans that are convincing themselves that Cifuentes is going to be significantly faster attacking than Enzo was are going to be in for a shock come the start of the season. Especially if 95% of the teams in the league respond like they did last time and park the bus against us for 90 minutes. Did you watch the video you just linked? Listen to him talk, even watch the way he moves the "ball" around between the little tiles when he's talking about switching play. It's "Enzoball", or more accurately, it's Cruyffball.
