  1. He is on huge money. I don’t think we can justify paying him that much when there is better value elsewhere
  2. GK - assuming it’s RM and assuming Mads gets sold I think we’ll bring in a new number 1. Stolarcyzk is not good enough with ball at his feet which will hinder his chances. New - Stolarcyzk - Youth Sell - Hermansen End of contract - Ward and Iversen FB - I can see RM using inverted full backs and a as a bit of a left field move I could see him using Nelson there. He’s been described as Stones-esque and this would allow him to move into midfield to get on the ball. Ricardo could buddy up with him on one side with JJ and LT from the left. All of them could move into a back 3 in possession as well. Choudhury can also play there and Aluko plays both sides which gives him opportunity for minutes. Nelson, Ricardo, Justin, Thomas, Choudhury, Aluko Sell - Kristensen and Coulibaly CB - Harry Darling looks a no brainer. Coady to stay and Souttar to come back in when fit. Nelson in reserve and Choudhury could play there at a push. Darling, Coady, Souttar, Nelson Sell - Faes, Vestergaard Loan - Okoli CM - Winks and Skipp will be good midfielders in the championship. Choudhury can fill in there and would like to see Golding get some minutes. Would need one more in the door - ideally someone box to box who has room to improve for if we get promoted. Ricardo can also play there if needed. Winks, Skipp, New, Choudhury, Golding, Ricardo Sell: Ndidi and Soumare wingers - Fatawu and Monga to compete on the right and Mavididi and Mcateer from the left. Possibly our strongest position without signing anyone. Alves can play wide too if needed. Fatawu, Monga, Mavididi, Mcateer, Alves Sell: BDCR, Ayew 10 - ideally we keep BEK and have Alves to deputise. If he leaves we would need to bring another in. Striker - if we can I would sign two and have them with Evans as our options. If we can’t shift Daka he would have to be 2nd choice with a better finisher coming in to replace.
  3. Chelsea take someone from us each summer - can see it being him this time around.
  4. I’d love to see Mcateer and Fatawu as wingbacks. I think they are both suited to the role and in a 3-4-3 would be perfect. Will never happen though
  5. Kalvin Phillips to Leeds Doucoure to Forest Kerkez to Liverpool replaced by Leif Davis We’ll sign Harry Darling Vardy to Newcastle
  6. Our PSR position probably won’t allow it. If we have to use the loan system to get us promoted then so be it
  7. Looking at his saints lineups this season the majority was a back 3/5. If this has been in the works for a while you’d like to think he’s got a plan for the transfer window, pre-season and beyond
  8. To give them a year of the same style that their parent club plays
  9. 2 from them and 2 from Chelsea for next season would do well
  10. It’s a huge decision - and whoever gets it will have my backing.
  11. I’m willing to give anyone a chance. It’s wrong to write him off before he’s even been appointed. If it is him, he will ultimately be a success or a failure. Whoever comes in deserves the chance to have a go before being criticised and ridiculed
  12. The family issue is probably deciding if they’re moving north or south
  13. If and appoint him and he does well will there be a Russell Martin - We owe you an apology thread….. doubt it? If you are one of those refusing to give him a chance, own your choice if he does well.
  14. We need to use Souttar and Choudhury next season - decent championship players

    Daka

Only defence I can put up for him is that it must be hard knowing you are 2nd choice regardless of how well you do. Vardy was the man. Now he’s gone there is a spot to have a chance of owning.
  16. Is there not also the potential argument that any punishment is a result of a rule change after the breach has taken place? could at least result in a sensible settlement
  17. I would like to think that everyone would have figured out that if we get promoted again we would need to improve the majority of our first 11. I think only Nelson, Monga, Fatawu and BEK from our current squad would be Premier League quality in 12 months time.
  18. Difference with us is that we’d have Nelson (hopefully) and Coady who are comfortable playing out with Winks and Ricardo (inverted) who they can confidently play into. Much better than what he had at saints.
  19. I think they’re right. If he was available I think a deal with Norwich would have been done by now.
  20. Football is all about opinions. My opinion on RM is that his style of football is better suited to the players we have than what he had at Saints. If he came in from day 1 of pre-season he could make it work. Also, he has both promoted and signed youth there. This is what we are crying out for. Managers don’t get it right at every club they’re at. So far he’s 2/3.
  21. PSR is rotten. Only exists to keep the premier leagues favourites happy.
  22. Would be happy with centre back options next season of Nelson, Coady, Mepham and souttar (when he’s fit). Sell Faes and Okoli with Vestergaard released.
  23. I am done with football if this happens
  24. Those saying that he didn’t use Burnley’s academy - ever thought that perhaps they couldn’t attract the talent we can? Theyre in the catchment of the Manchester clubs and aren’t known for their facilities and youth structure. Us on the other hand regularly produce talent. Dyche looks to me the sort that would use youth is they were good enough.l
  25. Think he was still at Everton when we sacked Cooper. I assume from the article he offered himself to Rudders when it started going’s tits up but we couldn’t afford to do anything about it
