  1. Ironic that a member of our staff will have the same name as a mental health charity. Should probably getting them in as a sponsor if the last few years are anything to go by
  2. There will be a number of premier league clubs who want a striker but don’t land their number 1 target. DCL and Vardy will then fall into the backup option. I can see DCL going to Spurs or Utd and Vardy ending up at Newcastle.
  3. Here is who he brought in last summer. No-one from PL/EFL senior squads and bar the gk all younger players. We need to go back to unearthing talent rather than lazy purchases of players that no one else wants.
  4. Got to be a planted story to hurry Rohl up. Surely……..
  5. Decent run-out in which our academy stars really shone. Really impressed with Nelson, Monga, Page and Aluko. Would want them in the first team environment next season. Alves on the ball looked great - needs a bit of fine tuning off it. Marcal frustrating as produces great moments but lets himself down by making simple errors. With regards to seniors, Okoli looked good and was nice to see Winks back. Ricardo will be class above if plays inverted again. Mavididi looked sharp. Both lbs looked off it to me. Skipp doesn’t suit the more advanced role when RP inverts. Positive all in all.
  6. I appreciate that no journos appear to know what’s going on with us but the Sheff Weds ones would have reported on us by now if it’s close
  7. If someone says “today’s the day” everyday, then eventually someone will be right The only person I would probably trust is the one that broke the Vardy news shortly before it was announced
  8. Our best defender last season was Ben Nelson. By a mile. Those that played for us - probably Luke Thomas and he only played a handful of games.
  9. Great move for everyone…. Especially us 🙏🙏
  10. Stolarcyzk Justin Okoli Nelson Thomas Skipp Winks Fatawu Ayew Mavididi Daka Exactly. This would be our team 1st game of the season even if we lost Mads, Ricardo, Faes, Coady, Vestergaard, Kristiensen, Soumare, Ndidi and BEK and didn’t sign anyone. Still leaves Souttar, Coulibaly, Choudhury, BDCR, Mcateer as well as all of our youth prospects. We’re in a better position than a lot of people think.
  11. What amazes me is that neither of them could see that it was blatantly obvious the system we were asking our players to play didn’t suit them. Defensively, JJ was getting hammered, none of our cb’s were good enough to play in a back 4 and VK played wingback for Denmark (ironically with Vestergaard next to him) and Bologna during his loan spell. Our midfield was easy to cut through which exposed our two centre backs. Fatawu was injured, Bilal/Buonanotte arent wingers and none of the others were performing well enough. Vardy wasn’t physically able to play on his own up front and Ayew/Daka don’t have the skills/ability to play that role. All roads lead to a 3-4-1-2 which I don’t believe we played once under 2 different managers. Astounding. A variation was attempted at Brentford but system wasn’t set up right and personnel was wrong.
  12. Fair points and was unaware he played in PL last time. 👍 They do have similar profiles then which should equate to a similar fee imo
  13. Got to look at benchmarks, Burnley supposedly rejected £25m from Newcastle for Trafford. Someone with no PL experience and no senior international experience
  14. When they were doing well he was the messiah with talk of going to the very top. Naturally, as he is now going they “don’t care” - probably said through trembling lips and watery eyes
  15. The two main issues with Ruud for me where the inability to try something different when our bad run started and then a reluctance to pick a team once relegated using players we’ll need this coming season. Neither are forgivable imo
  16. I’d say £30-35m is about right. Sad to see him go but can understand the interest and his desire to play at top level
  17. The major pluses for me are that he wouldn’t view us as a stepping stone and would be in it for the long haul and if he did get us promoted he would be realistic in his approach to keeping us up. The best way for any promoted side is to play the percentages. We would be solid, hardworking and hard to play against. If we ground out enough 1-0’s to keep us up I wouldn’t care what the football was like
  18. Would be brilliant if Rangers take him. Hopefully a danish club comes in for Jannik and a Turkish side for Wout
  19. It wouldn’t surprise me if the EFL allowed him to break contract due to conditions at Sheff Weds. I can’t imagine you can prevent a manager from walking away when you have a 3 window transfer ban and staff not getting paid. Hopefully Di Marco is on the case.
  20. Pretty sure we’re officially an EFL club now. More likely due to new PSR year.
  21. The squad we will be left with will be very competitive in the championship. I personally would fill the gaps with loans and youth players as we would need to invest heavily to be in with a shot of staying up if we got promoted
  22. The fact that Dyche has not been mentioned regarding any other vacancies says more imo. There have been/are several championship jobs available and I would have thought he would be high up the wish list of those clubs. We haven’t got the time to sack RVN and then start negotiations with clubs for managers in situ. Whoever comes in will need to be already available.
