  1. It goes back to a point earlier in the thread when there always seemed to be one huge game. Granted back then qualifying was less of a formality than it seems to be nowadays. I think partly because the money involved FIFA are desperate for all of the big nations to be there.
  2. Winning draws are enough. Glamorgan play Derbyshire next.
  3. Even if we come 2nd in this group it’ll be a playoff as 2nd place gets that. But I’m sure we have more than enough to go through as group winners.
  4. Think it’ll be this but Tattersall will come in for Mike and Patel will bowl spin. Hopefully we bat first whilst it’s nice. Can’t for the life of see any reason why we’d have any of the new signings in early and not play them.
  5. Yeah and it’s usually in the dead rubbers.
  6. I would say 2/3k left at half time. I enjoyed it probably for a different reason as i’ve got such a different view on football now I take the lad. He was loving it and it’s the same with Leicester games, I’m not all that arsed for me, football has changed so much from what it used to be it doesn’t affect me anywhere near how it used to be when Leicester/England win or lose. It’s what it does to him, we win he’s buzzing, we lose he’s heartbroken. I see the excitement and passion in him watching football and it takes me back to being 6 years old. Took him an extra half a second to realise Rice had scored and as I turned to him, honestly his face was filled with delight and I’ll never forget that. Onto the game, could’ve easily scored more. I think a case of knowing they’d won before it started, with the biggest game of the qualifiers to come on Tuesday, Andorra playing an 8-1-1 which regardless of the opposition is always hard to score against. Wasteful with a few good chances. Tuesday will be a good test to see what we actually have to offer.
  7. And we lost 3-2 to them at home that season too.
  8. He is. But he isn’t the problem it’s them around him. The backs are ok in Hubbard and Dowdle and there’s a couple of decent WR’s in Legette and Renfrow but it’s certainly not enough to even come close to challenging a play off spot.
  9. The panthers are gonna be worse than last season I’m sure.
  10. Kasper Ricardo Fofana Evans Fuchs Cambiasso Kante Izzet Mahrez Vardy Mancini Simply on ability. Harsh on Maddison, Tielemans, and probably Matt Elliott who was a much better footballer than a lot of people give him credit for.
  11. Glad they’ve changed it so it’s all in one block next season.
  12. Looking forward to Saturday, have tickets and always enjoy going to Villa park. Gonna make a day of it with the little man. These type of games being at club grounds should happen much more often. Serbia away is very tricky and if I’m being honest, I’d be happy with a point but absolutely should be going there to win. The first real test under Tuchel.
  13. Not overly keen on Northants but dislike Surrey more. Gonna be a great finish regardless.
  14. Yeah but they’re regulated so that’s absolutely fine 🤥
  15. The problem with a lot of people today is you can read 99 good things and 1 bad thing and they’ll take the bad thing as gospel.
  16. He scored against us at St Andrews didn’t he.
  17. 7/10. More so for the transfer fees and wages off the books. But 3 exciting loan signings with the potential of them continuing here without us spending too much before we’ve properly seen whether they fit in here or not is just what we have needed after the last few seasons shambles.
  18. All in all. I’m a lot happier than I was this morning. With recent deadline day non events I wasn’t overly optimistic about signing anyone let alone 3. We’ve also managed to strengthen our PSR position whilst getting rid of some players whose time here had been long overdue, for more reasons than one.
  19. All in all. We’ve had a good day. Strengthened in the areas we needed.
  20. He’s not got any left
  21. A PSR fiddle. Know the sports scientist for the 21s. Golding has a bit of a big time attitude.
  22. Today’s birthday tweet maybe
