I said at the start of this season I thought they’d struggle this year, at the minute though they’ve got a great eye for young players no one else is finding and that’s helping them massively. If they can stay in that cycle then they’ll be fine but inevitably players like Mitoma, Buonanotte, Enciso, are going to want more than finishing 8th/9th with the odd Europa league campaign. And that’s where the downfall starts.

No issue with the Coady one. It’s a clear penalty. Also agree regarding the clear and obvious but for me I think they’ve gone past the clear and obvious threshold, you’ve seen them given and you’ve seen them waved away even with a second look from VAR without having to go to on field review. I get looking at every minute thing when a goal has been scored, begrudgingly. But for a subjective decision that’s a red card, penalty etc if they can’t see after 3 looks then stick with what the ref has gone with. They’re going too forensic into things.
-
To be fair to the ref, he didn’t initially give either. We could’ve nicked that at the end. Obviously the best we’ve been for a while and as much as Brighton dominated they’ve only score through two pens. Impressed when Mavididi, felt like he had a point to prove today and BEK again too. Ultimately the point is going to do anything for our season. But it was nice to see the performance they gave us today.

But the lure of a big club, who probably won’t hesitate to send him out on loan could be a problem for us. The too clubs know how highly he’s rated and what he’s about. Some might even say being in Man City’s academy is better than first team football for us. I’m not at all, but then a good season with us in the championship and he’ll most certainly be gone.

Would be surprised if Mings is here next season. Hope he is but if the rumblings are true….

Season Ticket Renewal Deadline Shut
Bert replied to The Year Of The Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Whilst that is absolutely terrible, if he knew he was going to renew, why wait? -

Yes I’ve renewed. If I didn’t have my little sidekick I’d have thought a lot more about not doing so. It’s our special time where it’s just me and him and we forget about everything else. It’s also like seeing the game through my own eyes when I was 6 and I love the passion he’s got for it all, luckily he doesn’t understand the shit show of the club we currently are, just loves being at games. But I’m hoping I’ll be able to get him a season ticket for next season, and even if not I’ll still be taking him every game but with the ballache of having to ring up every week. -
Not easy to catch some idiot who climbed up on Threads roof though 👀🙄😂

He gets it that’s why.

LCFC Men Season Tickets: Price Freeze & Safe Standing Confirmed
Bert replied to jammie82uk's topic in Leicester City Forum
I think once you’re on the DD scheme there’s a clause in there that states you’ll be automatically renewed unless you cancel. -
Front flipping off garage roofs onto a crash mat we’d nicked from school

How much did Chelsea ruin us this season?
Bert replied to An Away Move's topic in Leicester City Forum
Well, not just about every poster. That’s a ridiculous exaggeration and it’s certainly doesn’t matter what style some of the fans were moaning about, the bigger picture is the players playing in it, enjoyed it and consistently played that way. If you understand football, that’s massive. Just look at Forest, Villa, Brighton, even Bournemouth. They all play very different styles of football, but it’s been consistent and they’re now reaping the rewards of that. We lost that momentum when the style totally changed which is another big thing in football. Your last paragraph is all if buts and maybes so not really any valid argument because how can you argue over something that might or might not have happened? -

I think more importantly we’d have continued with a clear way of playing, the players comfortable in a system they’d been in for a season already. It’s hard enough to transition whenever a new manager comes in, then going from what we had under Maresca to what we went to under Cooper really did set us back. The players loved playing under Maresca and that was clear as day. -
Agree it’s the perfect time. 7 games of competitive football against top class players. Only problems could be, he gets the taste of it and wants out. He does well and clubs see what he can do. Offer him what we can’t. He goes.

It’s just a shambles isn’t it. We are all over the place at the back. So deep it’s so easy to press and when we do manage to break that, we’ve got three players going forward. El Khanouss who you can tell is trying his heart but has no support, Vardy who is ageing, trying but isolated. Lost count of times we looked to break then went backwards. There’s absolutely no width from us. Hermansen - looks half the player since his injury. Faes - Couldn’t look less interested if he tried. Coady - Talks and tries to be the organiser but doesn’t actually manage to win tackles/aerials. Thomas - He’s actually looked alright to be fair to him but is an easy target for teams I feel. Kristiansen - Less said the better, but one of the worst I’ve ever seen play for us. Justin - He never gives up but constantly getting caught out, constantly giving the ball away in good areas. N’Didi - His feet are a few seconds behind his brain. Soumare - Did ok tonight, needs someone that can play next to him I think. Daka - Useless El Khanouss - Tries and tries to make things happen but the lack of support means he tries too much. Vardy - Isolated. Easy to defend especially now he’s losing that yard and doesn’t make the runs in behind. Comes short to receive the ball but the lack of support is killing that. Nice Cameos from Ricardo and Monga, Mavididi tried but was his usual frustrating self. Buonanotte, another that tries his socks off but in general gives the ball away far too much.

He’s under 18 and it’s a gambling sponsor

Only ever remember FNF. Tickets were like £3? Unless you got some through schools. Felt like a real treat because football was nowhere as accessible back then as it is now. You had MOTD Saturday night, one live game from the football league Sunday afternoon, and a Serie A game on channel 4. Getting to go to the stadium feeling like you were at a proper football match was amazing and back then money was tight for a lot of families also.

It’s the hope that kills you…. But why not! Brilliant start.

We’re all voting for Edouard as POTS aren’t we?

Looking like they wanna get this wrapped up tonight.

Would imagine now that it’s partly due to him having a newborn. But would also imagine his argument would be that it was fine under Enzo. But that’s still not ok because you should be respecting what your current manager is asking. I’m sure we used to have a thing where new players signing had to be within x amount of miles from the training ground.

Well tbh, Forest’s “success” now isn’t as good as what Leicester achieved then. Why would anyone outside Lancashire care about Blackburn winning the league when it happened? Why would anyone outside of Leicestershire care that we won the prem? A lot of people don’t actually care that Forest are having a good season (that’s all it is at the minute, a good season) Pub question or not, it’ll still be the greatest ever league win in the history of football.
