Really need JJ and Fatawu back soon. Where are the goals coming from without them?

Stoke (A) 21/02/26: Pre-Match Thread

You can be successful in this division by having a simple game plan, not making stupid individual errors and running your proverbials off. Blackburn proved that last night. Can Rowett get our team of wastrels, who think they're better than they are, to do the same? -

These scumbags better put a shift in tomorrow after tonight's result. We're in desperate straits now. -
The last 2 or 3 weeks have been the most painful I can recall as a fan. Truly, unremittingly grim.
-
All Blackburn have done is keep it really tight and nicked a goal. Something we've failed to do all season.
-
FFS. We are in huge trouble now.
-
To be fair to Blackburn, they look so well organised defensively. When was the last time we conceded so few shots (3) in a game?
-
Let it sink in that this Preston team are in the play offs as things stand. Dear God.
-
The quality is so poor in this league. This is a truly awful game.
-
Hope you are right as we surely have the players to play 2015/16 style counter attack football with Fats, Daka and Mav being fed through passes by Mukasa. The big question is how GR will be able to create a solid defensive base from the players at his disposal. Such a shame that Souttar is still not back. Hopefully Lascelles is back at least, in which case I'd go for Aluko, Lascelles, Nelson and VK as the back 4. But I'm sure that he'll start Ricky P as he is skipper.

The bad news just never seems to end at the moment. We really need things to turn soon.

Realistic Managerial Replacements
Sunbury Fox replied to winteriscoming's topic in Leicester City Forum
I may well get hammered for this but during the remaining matches we really need to get behind Rowett and, though most of them don’t deserve it and it sticks in the craw, this team of mercenaries. Going down to L1 would be an existential crisis for us. I also think it would make Aiywatt even less likely to sell as the club would be worth relative peanuts. We simply have to stay up and hope we can somehow reset with lots of big earners out of contract in the summer. -
6 defeats in 7 with the other one being that undeserved draw with a last minute goal at Wrexham.

Please make this end. We've now lost to Southampton's youth team with practically our first team playing for the last hour. -
Unlike Page, Monga hasn't progressed at all since his early games. Clearly got a lot of promise but he looks way off being ready to start first team games at this point. The last time he had an impact of substance was when he set up Ricardo's goal at home to Brum in August. Given the hype around him, he has been a bit of a disappointment really. But then we shouldn't be relying on 16 year olds to save our season.

Okoli makes Faes look like prime Nesta.

Another 90 minutes of watching Ayew hobble around ineffectively with a face like a smacked ar*e. Deep joy.
-
He definitely played for Man City in the previous round.

Did we actually sell out for this? -
LCFC 3-4 Southampton, post-match thread

That second half performance from Thomas was on a par with Danny Ward at home to Wolves last season. Hideous. -
Even worse they have "achieved" that at such massive cost that we've ended up with an unprecedented points deduction.
-
I wonder in which minute we'll concede the first goal?
-
Thought Okoli would be suspended for 3 games after getting a straight red?

The full backs are killing us. Actually think Ricardo was worse today than even Thomas has been. He is so slow, left the winger acres of space and gifted them a goal. Love Ricardo and he was a great player back in the day but he's finished now. Aluko has to start from now on, as you say. We are utterly desperate for pace and physicality. Less sure whether VK is the answer at LB but has to be worth a try. -

Tbf we saw some progress - didn't get a sending off until 30 minutes, which was a lot better than last week.
