Yep, although at least we're playing Worcs on one of our last 2 games. It's embarrassing that we're only 2 points ahead of Surrey's under 16 team, despite playing 2 overseas players.

There are so many players who I want rid of in this squad, I'm not even sure if Faes is in my top 5, as bad as he's been for the most part in his time with us. I worry in particular that we're now going to be continuing to play the static Vesty in this kamikaze formation used by Marti, where we leave only the 2 CBs back when we're in possession. We saw how that played out at Preston, who are not especially noted for their rapid counter attacks. The only hope is that we will see some incomings soon if we keep draining the swamp at this rate. That said, given who is in charge of recruitment, it's hard to be confident that the new recruits will be any better than those who've departed.

Reckon he’ll be played mainly as a white ball player, especially T20, in which he has a good record. Assume that he is effectively a replacement for Kimber, but more useful than Kimber in red ball, though his record in that is not great either.

This has been a very poor 50 over campaign, given the strength of the team we're fielding.

Looks like Ezkinazi will replace Kimber as mainly a white ball specialist, Davey will replace Wright and Tattershall will replace Swindells as back up keeper. None of this addresses the biggest concern we have with the squad ie the lack of high quality top order red ball batsmen. We've got away with this in Div 2 as we have loads of good all rounders but Div 1 is likely to be less forgiving.

Everton are garbage. Watch them win this 1-0 from their only shot on target, though.

Made no sense putting them in and even less sense to play Roman Walker. The last 2 games against less than half strength Div 1 teams when we are nearly at full strength is a worrying omen of what might happen next season, assuming we get promoted.

Small's performance shows that there are bargains to be had out there. A free transfer for a 21 year old with bags of potential. Looked several levels above our options at LB.

Don't have a good feeling about this. No spinner in the team and Roman Walker starting does not bode well.

Worth a try as it would allow us to deploy BEK (in the slim chance he's not been sold) as an 8, where I think he'd be more effective.

Vesty won't. We gave him a 3 year contract last summer. Same as BCDR.

Obviously the lack of application and effort from the players is the main concern, but I don't think Marti is helping himself with some of his selections. If I've understood it correctly, when we're attacking he wants us to leave just the 2 CBs back with both full backs tucked in high up the pitch to overload the midfield. This is hugely risky football which leaves us highly vulnerable to counter attacks unless we have CBs who are fast and FBs who are good on the ball and quick on the recovery. Playing a left sided defensive combination of Thomas and Vesty is suicidal in this system.

He is going to need to change his tactics as we simply don't have the players to deliver what he wants ie high press and inverted full backs on both sides. For this to work you need 2 CMs with legs, 2 fast CBs and full backs who are quick and creative. Apart from Okoli, nobody fits that bill in today's team.

A seriously worrying performance. This is what happens if you have a team full of players who want to leave and/or in the last year of their contract.

3 successive home games coming up in the One Day Cup - how we do in those will determine if we make the quarter finals or not.

Being totally outplayed here. Was expecting more from us, given we've only lost a few players to the ridiculous Hundred. Oh well, the CC is the main priority this season.

More like they've become our dumping ground. They're hardly taking our prized assets.
