In that case we better offer him a place on the board......

Momentum is huge in football. Ipswich have won 8 out of 9, whilst Leeds have won 11 out of 12. It's very worrying.
-
Tbf we didn't collapse at the end of last season. We were crap throughout the whole season!
-
Not so sure. They don't seem as a reliant on their starting XI as we are. Their options in attacking midfield are much deeper than ours; their subs have very often changed games for them.
-
It's much more recent that we were 18 clear of them - it was after we beat Sheff Wed at home ie 13 Feb, though they had 2 games in hand at that point. They've since won 8 out of 9, whilst we've fallen off a cliff. Losing at home to a massively weakened Boro side and a crap QPR team who barely got out of their own half could well cost us auto promotion, I fear.

I'm certain Ipswich will make the top 2. They have unbreakable belief and momentum. You thought the way they lost last week might knock them off course but instead they're on course for another routine win.
-
Ipswich are like a cockroach. Nothing seems to kill them off.
-
Judging by their performance today, I would not be at all confident of getting a result v them given the way we've played in the last month.
-
This reminds me of our game at Leeds. Cov should be out of sight, but watch Wolves win this now.
-
Shocked by some of the vitriol in here. Stephy has been off it since the Leeds game but overall he's had a really good season. I worry that he's been burnt out by Enzo - he's been played week in, week out for the full 90 minutes and because of the system we play, he and Abdul have to do so much running as they're expected to track back a lot to help the wide CBs.

This is what worries me most. Both today and on Tuesday possession was roughly 50/50 and the games are increasingly end to end with no set pattern ie typically Championship. This is a massive contrast to the first half of the season when most of the time our games resembled a cup game between a PL team and a lower league team.

EFL Officiating Abomination Journal 23/24
Sunbury Fox replied to Trelleh's topic in Leicester City Forum
He blew dead on time even though in injury time he delayed 2 corners by lecturing players about pushing for ages, plus spent nearly a minute doing the magic spray for a free kick where we were never going to shoot anyway. Awful. -
Agree. He is so unpredictable and rash. He goes charging into tackles/attempted interceptions, leaving huge amounts of space behind him if he doesn't get the ball. Was surprised that he wasn't left out today - Vesty and Coady did brilliantly together at Bournemouth and we've not conceded in the last 3 games that Coady has played.
-
Who do you see them dropping points to then?
-
A decent point in isolation, but it feels like an opportunity missed with Ipswich finally getting a taste of their own medicine. The performance was again mediocre, though. We've not even controlling possession in games any more.
-
Was about to message this. He's been excellent in previous games I've seen him but tonight he's giving Leeds soft free kicks over and over.
-
Game over. Their run is now on a par with ours at the start of the season. 11 wins out of 12 .

Leicester 1-0 Sunderland Post Match Thread.

It's annoying that with so many points in the bag, we are still fretting not only about winning the league but even finishing in the top 2. By comparison, had this been last season we'd already be guaranteed promotion with 10 games left - Luton finished 3rd on 80 points last year. As for the game, we were great up to the goal (though we again missed 3 out of 4 big chances created in that period), mediocre for the rest of the first half and then truly honking for the entire second half, during which a massively out of form Sunderland team, shorn of their best players, were able to out-shoot us 15 to 1. A win is a win but we won't get away with that kind of rubbish many more times over the remainder of the season, let's be honest. Need to up our game massively as the teams behind us are just not going away. -
Oh FFS, not again. Seriously?
-
Probably the most nervous I've felt all season pre match.
-
Odds of that happening will be huge, I imagine.

Is there a possibility that Ndidi could return tonight or has that already been ruled out? -

We'd be insane to agree to that, given our current run of form and with the amount of injuries we have. Push it back until after the international break when Wilf and Riccy P will be back. -

Is he mobile enough to play in midfield, though? -
Our 9-0 away record - could it go tonight?

Going to be close, I think. Suspect Arsenal will sub their main attacking players early, though.
