  1. So boring that we've already created more big chances than Burnley over the whole of last season and are top scorers in the league?
  2. This is definitely worth a try. It's the formation that Man City have been playing this season with Alvarez in behind Halaand.
  3. That's how I feel about it. Lose this and the wheels really will be off.
  4. Has Enzo said how long Riccy P is out?
  5. The problem is that even if a player is booked early for time wasting, would a ref really be prepared to give them a second yellow when they continue to do it? I just don't think so. Certainly not aware of this ever happening. I would prefer having an official timekeeper to control the stadium clock on the big screen. Their job would be to stop the clock every time the ball was out of play, so it would render the kind of antics we saw today from QPR pointless.
  6. Not making excuses, just putting a counter argument to the claim that we've been sussed.
  7. Sick of Faes now. Coady needs to replace him to provide leadership and composure.
  8. I remain very unconvinced by Faes. He's too unpredictable for a defender. CBs should be steady and dependable, traits that he lacks completely. Once Vesty is back, I'd drop Faes for Coady.
  9. I think people are overreacting by saying we have been sussed out. Against Boro and Leeds we won 4-2 and 3-0 respectively on big chances. Statistically it is a real outlier that we lost both games but that's what can happen in a low scoring game like football. As for today, I still think a defeat is harsh given how little QPR offered going forward (25% possession, 3 shots all game), but we were very poor in terms of creating chances. We controlled virtually the whole game, played some nice build up football, got into great areas a lot, but repeatedly chose the wrong option at the key moment.
  10. It was infuriating to see so many fans leaving from 85 minutes onwards when there was so much still riding on the game. Heard some QPR fans commenting on it on the way out of the ground.
  11. We didn't shoot at the right times. Got in great positions over and over but then made the wrong decision. Stats say we had 18 shots today. QPR had 3 supposedly but I can only recall the 2 for their goals if I'm honest.
  12. In the last 2 home games we've had 42 shots whilst the opposition have had just 8 and yet we've lost both games, scoring 2 and conceding 4.
  13. All true but 1.6 points per game until the end of the season gets us to 96 points, which you'd hope would see us finish second at least.
  14. I think Dyche teams are the closest to this kind of football these days. I'm amazed how many times Pickford wellies it down the pitch to the big man up top so that Everton can pick up second balls. In the home game against them last season Pickford was launching balls into our penalty area from free kicks just inside the Everton half! And he was doing this in the first half, not in desperation at the end of the game.
  15. This is massive news. A reminder below of Ndidi's importance to the team: League games when Wilf has played this season: P21 W18, D2, L1 PPG 2.67 League games when Wilf hasn't played this season: P13 W7 D1 L5 PPG 1.69
  16. I think the conversion rate of big chances is a better measure of finishing quality than the shots to goals ratio. I suspect we do well on the latter as we take very few long shots and generally try to work a good opening before we shoot.
  17. To be fair, over the season our conversion rate of big chances is 44%. We have created 104 (already more than Burnley over the whole of last season with 13 games to go) and scored 46 of them.
  18. The rule says 15% of the capacity has to be given to away teams. So we should get 6k.
  19. According to the official stats, we've created 11 big chances in the last 3 games, and missed 9 of them!!
  20. One of life's mysteries is how little attention and credit this guy gets from non- Leicester media and pundits. One of my favourite City players in 40+ years supporting the club.
  21. Despite fearing the worst beforehand, I enjoyed every single minute of that!
  22. True but if it gets to pens, which is extremely unlikely given the line up, I would be tempted to sub him on for them. He's actually got a good record in shoot outs.
  23. I think you are right. Feel bad for fans who are travelling a long way to the game tonight. As we live in London, I did think about getting tickets for my boys and I; very glad that I didn't bother now. Just hope we don't get an absolute pasting.
  24. Not sure momentum shifted that much after your subs came on. You weren't putting us under any kind of real pressure before the first goal which basically came from a lucky ricochet. Then the other goals were deflections. You just lucked out tbh.
