  1. Needs to be dropped now. We need calmness and leadership at CB, not mayhem and unpredictability. Get Coady in, please.
  2. Maresca's comments before the Leeds game are looking increasingly ill-advised.
  3. Not sure. They look so solid. Cov away is tough but they'll be hot favourites in the other games.
  4. Did the commentator actually just say that, "It's taken a while but the cream of the Championship has finally risen to the top."
  5. We are the weirdest club on the planet, there is no doubt.
  6. There we go. Off the top now. This has been an horrific footballing weekend.
  7. Millwall are absolutely toothless.
  8. Leeds look a lot less open at the back than we do.
  9. FFS. Bloke who should have been sent off then scores. Hate football at the minute.
  10. Gnonto has put an elbow into the Millwall player's chin there. With VAR, that could have been a red.
  11. I guess Brighton have managed to play the same style without elite players, but they've been a PL team for a while now, so are better equipped to do it than we would be. I think the key is having some rapid defenders. But fast defenders who are great on the ball are not cheap.
  12. Enzo has no clue when we go down to 10. We still try to build from the back as normal but being a man down leaves us limited options to pass out, so we keep turning over the ball near our goal. Just as at Cov, he also took off Mavididi when surely you need to keep as much pace and running power up top as possible, to give you some sort of threat on the break. We'd have probably lost anyway, but our set up certainly didn't help.
  13. Yeah - and they rested half their team. They were the better side in the game tbh.
  14. This is a taste of what we can expect if (and it's a big if) we get promoted. He'll play the same way against everyone and we'll take some heavy beatings.
  15. In that case we better offer him a place on the board......
  16. Momentum is huge in football. Ipswich have won 8 out of 9, whilst Leeds have won 11 out of 12. It's very worrying.
  17. Tbf we didn't collapse at the end of last season. We were crap throughout the whole season!
  18. Not so sure. They don't seem as a reliant on their starting XI as we are. Their options in attacking midfield are much deeper than ours; their subs have very often changed games for them.
  19. It's much more recent that we were 18 clear of them - it was after we beat Sheff Wed at home ie 13 Feb, though they had 2 games in hand at that point. They've since won 8 out of 9, whilst we've fallen off a cliff. Losing at home to a massively weakened Boro side and a crap QPR team who barely got out of their own half could well cost us auto promotion, I fear.
  20. I'm certain Ipswich will make the top 2. They have unbreakable belief and momentum. You thought the way they lost last week might knock them off course but instead they're on course for another routine win.
  21. Ipswich are like a cockroach. Nothing seems to kill them off.
  22. Judging by their performance today, I would not be at all confident of getting a result v them given the way we've played in the last month.
  23. This reminds me of our game at Leeds. Cov should be out of sight, but watch Wolves win this now.
  24. Shocked by some of the vitriol in here. Stephy has been off it since the Leeds game but overall he's had a really good season. I worry that he's been burnt out by Enzo - he's been played week in, week out for the full 90 minutes and because of the system we play, he and Abdul have to do so much running as they're expected to track back a lot to help the wide CBs.
  25. This is what worries me most. Both today and on Tuesday possession was roughly 50/50 and the games are increasingly end to end with no set pattern ie typically Championship. This is a massive contrast to the first half of the season when most of the time our games resembled a cup game between a PL team and a lower league team.
