The match day itself seems reasonably family friendly. But everything else is non-existent. I’ve mentioned a few times in other threads that they should be bending over backwards to get that next generation hooked - such as having a first time package for a child including their first ticket etc. You get to meet Filbert Fox, and various other things. They did introduce something after some feedback, but the child already had to have a match ticket, rendering it pointless really in my eyes. It’s really hard for a child to get a ticket for their first game to try just to see if they want to go back, and it doesn’t seem reasonable to have to buy a membership or whatever. A membership could be the next step, but I feel strongly that they should make it much easier to enhance that first match day experience.

All that clamour that I was part of to say that he should go to the World Cup, well I changed my mind in our relegation season. He’s clearly got an attitude problem, and he more often than not goes missing in the final third of seasons. Sometimes you get the impression he’s more interested in showing off a £2k bag than he is in playing football. Also on him missing out on big occasions, I’m reminded that Rodger’s started him on the bench in the cup final. Was the reason for that to offer more solid options in midfield, or was he injured? I can’t remember.

I like Corberan, and I also like - topically - how he sounds like a gringo former leader of her majesties opposition. Think Jeremy Corbyn wearing a sombrero.

Very well said. I think that probably captures where a lot of us are at. After Millwall and Plymouth defeats, where winning both would have basically sealed promotion (with hindsight), my old man rang me and said he was on the verge of packing it all in - that’s a supporter of over 50 years. It was was shambolic, disgraceful, but I feel would have been the norm this coming season - ie no plan B. Enzo probably knew it as well, particularly as it also feels like he’s going to claim he was mislead with the state of the finances. BTW that also feels very naive - surely he would have done due diligence and just read the room a little bit. It was always obvious to us we’d be in trouble. A lot of us here, and the press, have suggested it was Vardy and the players who got us over the line. I’m inclined to agree. So thanks Enzo for the start of last season and up until just after Christmas into the new year. After that we got worked out and it was dog shit for a while.

How can you…? Well having the footballing equivalent of Mr Bean overseeing recruitment and negotiations is a start

I’m less concerned with Maresca going, but am very concerned about how talk of points deductions might impact on who wants the job. Who would want to manage us if we had a points deduction that makes relegation more or less a nailed on certainty?

They’re so thick and in the pocket of the PL. It’s literally their job to publicise the PL. No critical thinking allowed, and heaven forbid if Everton’s deduction was applied when it should have been we would have stayed up.

Might be something in this. How well would he have done with us next year without the same relative gulf in resources we had last season? He was so anti changing anything, and losing 11 times but stilling winning the league must be unheard of. Taking the £10m might not be a bad outcome if we need to raise £35m wasn’t it? Just going on reported what we were going to demand for KDH.
