  1. What’s even worse as well is that we play first today - great chance to make a statement. Now we have given our opponents a boost ahead of their games.
  2. Anger inducingly shocking. I don’t have a problem with the method, and no one did when we were winning. Today was the finishing. But generally there is a lack of bottle. We ain’t getting promoted on this or showing in the last 5-6 weeks. Really piss poor, and just look bereft of any confidence at all. How can you go from almost being untouchable to this?
  3. Whether you want to be in the cartel is a genuinely interesting moral issue to consider. Not sure I’d be saying that if we still had a big lead at the top though!
  4. As soon as you allow someone that time and space to set themself on the edge of the box you’re inviting trouble. Looks like momentum isn’t going to come back after the international break. We’ll amble into the playoffs in 4th if we’re not careful.
  5. Better second half, but really need to make this pay as we’re clearly on top
  6. And yet I think he’s in the side for his pace, relative to Vesty and Coady. But I’d have Coady in now over every game. I think we’d benefit from Coady’s leadership as well
  7. And teams going into the playoffs who look leggy and in poor form rarely do well.
  8. Was just about to say something like this. We’ve gone from being almost invincible to flakey and scrappy
  9. haha I assume you mean bell ends, and not that Rooster Russell has been making a come back
  10. So are we all agreed that we would benefit significantly from winning today? For me, given all the goings on with FFP-PSR and the cartel, it’s 9 games in a month to possibly define the next decade. Time to show some cock and balls.
  11. This place is ridiculous. A few months ago he’s the second coming, and now we’ve had an iffy run and, with all the uncertainties with FFP, suddenly he’s the new Peter Taylor!
  12. This is a slant that shows another way in which the rules benefit the established order…
  13. Yea I’ve always thought it add that our DoF was the academy coach when we were crap
  14. Probably thinks it’s something to do with horses
  15. It was never going to end well paying the big money wages as we’re not a club who could sustain the level of competition that comes with that wage - in terms of income but also the expectations of players. And low and behold when you can’t, players run down their contracts because no one else is daft enough to meet what we’re paying them and malaise/rot sets in - and we basically snookered ourself. In contrast look what made us successful. Buying talent and prospects, on wages with room for progression for salary and performance. Once you take away the incentive to achieve more money you’re ****ed. Perhaps if you have dubious characters you’re doubly ****ed. It is absolutely shocking that this was allowed to happen and we deviated from it. It just screams no awareness of the big picture, economics or sports/human psychology really. If the likes of Brighton learn anything from us, it’s to keep on doing what they’re doing. We shot for the stars, and ended up sleeping rough with the winos out the back of Majestic.
  16. I thought he was? At least I thought I heard the commentator say that
  17. The fact he’s Captain tonight is a national embarrassment. I’d question whether he’s even international level. He’s decent PL, but again he’s not outstanding.
  18. Haha so obvious, but didn’t see it until reading your post. Bravo!
  19. They’re rules that in effect will be the closest thing the top 6 can do to basically mean they can’t go down. Remember years ago when the American owners wanted to end relegation? They’ve basically succeeded, but by doing this and therefore in a more indirect way. It’s a fix, a cartel, and while I want to watch us compete at the highest possible level, I’m personally not too bothered about the PL anymore. It’s a joke and exists to keep revenues and the global fan base of the rich clubs happy - in other words it’s about protecting the brand. And that view takes nothing away from how angry I am at our gung ho approach of buying donkeys and feeding them with caviar. It is possible to both angry at the cartel and the club.
  20. It’s all a cartel controlled by the so called rich 6.
  21. Exactly. The more I read between the lines of both our statements I believe we will be able to reduce these punishments significantly.
  22. Enzo needs to channel this in a way that creates a siege mentality. **** them and let’s win as many of these last 9 games as possible
  23. I wasn’t thinking they’d buy and not go. More a total boycott. But regardless it will never happen
  24. Are they not obliged to have a portion of tickets for away fans, regardless if they are sold or not?
  25. Without knowing the rules on away ticketing, I’m not sure the could do that?
