  1. A lot of forward play is very slow and predictable
  2. Look at the three teams below us and their results so far - massive wasted opportunity if we lose this
  3. Leeds drew, Ipswich are drawing and Southampton are losing - this is a massively wasted opportunity so far
  4. We’ve got a lot of our strongest players out in key areas. I’m concerned that it’s starting to show.
  5. This made the news on Radio 4 earlier. Must be a slow news day.
  6. Nice having a clear set plan and philosophy that clearly everyone buys into. In the dying days of Rodger’s I couldn’t tell you what the plan was in most games, other than to turn up and try and play football (mostly badly) with some players out of their depth. His hand in recruitment as well I will never forgive. He was given keys to the city, when in actual fact he should have just been given one of those keys that unlocks all the bogs in the country so people with a disability or condition don’t get caught short and shit themselves when out and about.
  7. Shudder!
  8. Haha Banks, Shilton….. Pressman…. Ward
  9. What a great effort with all those changes to go the distance with a PL side (albeit a poor on one current form) and beat them. We were so wasteful again though, but hopefully that can blow away the cobwebs from losses to Boro and Leeds and get confidence high again. Blue army!
  10. The club are crap at considering how young kids get their first taste/ticket and become supporters. I recall giving feedback as such, and saying how they should have a ‘first game package’ where you can get a ticket, meet Filbert a few other basic ‘welcome to the club’ stuff. They responded by introducing something like this, but stipulated that the child already needed to have a ticket and limited it to only a small number per game - ie limiting it and defying the point of it really. I can only imagine what it’s like when they're other hurdles that make this more difficult. They are tone deaf and blinkered on things like this. I suppose currently for STH they can get guest tickets, but still not everyone wanting to introduce a child will be an STH. If the problem is not enough seats and a demand-side issue, I would like to think the stadium expansion will coincide with taking many of three hurdles away - but I'm not hopeful.
  11. Nothing says standards slipping at Chelsea when Ben Chilwell is the captain
  12. A lot can happen in 12 games
  13. Anyone know what these injuries are likely to be?
  14. Their fans outside afterwards were utterly delusional. Yes they beat us, but I was pleased with the response from Middlesbrough and I was surprised Leeds weren’t able to do more. If that’s how Leeds perform for the rest of the season they won’t get automatic promotion. Not to sound like Maddison from last season, but if we continue like that we’ll be fine. We can’t get too complacent though, and preferably need to take a few more chances than we did v Middlesbrough and Leeds. But at least we are still creating them - I’d be concerned if we weren’t.
  15. Still shell shocked we lost last night. I haven’t seen our disallowed goal, but I’m told it should have stood. And those chances we missed - particularly Daka - Jesus Christ. And the two deflections… I thought Ipswich used up all the deflected goals against us this season. Need to string 3 or 4 together now.
  16. Or if Roy Esandoh didn’t turn his tele on and see the advert on Teletext that Wycombe put out seeking players
  17. But equally it has become apparent that Fofana’s knee is made out of marshmellow. It looks like a good deal now I think, as unsure he would have stayed fit with us. Although a fit Fofana at the club no way we would have gone down.
  18. Maybe we’d have nice chicken in the concourse?
  19. I feel much better after the Southampton - Hull result. I think our players might get a psychological boost as well.
  20. I have read that Marshall started life as a centre back
  21. I think if it wasn’t for his injury in pre season he’d certainly have started the season, and it would have been his spot to lose. But why change the status quo when it’s working so well and we have the best defensive record in the league? He must understand that.
  22. Definitely meant it…
  23. Yes that’s right - playing as a striker. I think we had a lot of injuries and we were playing players out of position everywhere, but I was also 8 year old at the time so maybe someone else has a more reliable memory! I have a DVD full match of this, and my god the football we played then was awful. We were really outplayed football wise by Derby. But I suppose needs must, with a lot injuries etc you play to your strengths and stick all the big blokes on to get flick ons for little blokes like Joachim.
